Sup, IDKAGN (you'll have to forgive the acronym, but admittedly you do say you didn't know a better one). I'm a pending changes reviewer, and I saw your edit to List of video games notable for negative reception to add YanSim. You're right that this would be a pretty good entry for the list -- however, I wasn't able to accept the edit, because it needs reliable sources. Reliable sources are especially important for an article such as this, because without them the claim could not only easily be challenged, but it could have significant consequences -- say, in a worst-case scenario, Alex could try suing Wikipedia for libel. (This is a real consideration, and it's one reason why the policy is so strict.)

All that said, I absolutely think this section has potential. Do you think you could try find some RSes for it? I have some pretty solid expertise with writing articles on terribly-reviewed games, so I could try help you. Vaticidalprophet (talk) 11:54, 8 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for responding, I thought that the Dev's own words would be enough, however there really isn't any context to them and I can understand why you rejected the edit, thanks for explaining why. I can't seem to find an article about the DID situation from a quick search, all I have is Reddit posts from former moderators and YouTube videos documenting the situation. Do you think that would be good enough? (also I use IDKAGN as an acronym anyway so don't worry about it)I don't know a good name. (talk) 15:06, 8 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia can be pretty strict about what counts as a reliable source -- it has to be independent of the subject, and (usually) not a primary source. The DID thing probably isn't very relevant to a short overview like that, though I wouldn't be surprised if there are articles talking about Alex's behaviour more generally. You could use this to talk about the Twitch ban and this to talk about #RIPYandereDev. Vaticidalprophet (talk) 17:32, 8 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Reason I have reverted your edit on Bloons TD 6

[edit]

Hey I don't know a good name,

I've just reverted your edit to Bloons TD 6 for two reasons.

The first, I feel like the content about tower XP and tier 5's is a violation of WP:GAMECRUFT (basically, what would a person who has never heard of this game want to know?). Information about upgrades is concisely covered previously in the paragraph. The second reason, none of the information was cited to reliable sources. I'll admit finding sources for Bloons is near impossible, but such a large amount of information should still be backed up. You can try to find sources to back these statements up using this search engine. I hope this did not sound too harsh, this is my first time writing a statement like this.

Thanks, Splatana (talk) 07:59, 26 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the input, your revert was completely justified after taking a closer look at the article, not to mention my editing style was like writing a review and not an overview. Hope you enjoy the rest of your day or night. I don't know a good name. (talk) 16:28, 26 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You too. Splatana (talk) 17:52, 26 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
