A tag has been placed on Jane Roland Martin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Removing Speedy at Jane Roland Martin

[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles you created, as you did with Jane Roland Martin. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:

  1. Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
  2. Make your case on the article's talk page.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 19:57, 12 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there :). It looks like the deletion has been stopped for the time being. However, remember that google hits don't define notability. But sources do :). Unless you improve the page, it may still be deleted. The reason it may be deleted is because the person may (despite the google hits) not be notable. Try comparing this person to this guideline, to see if they are notable. The page also needs to be expanded, I'd suggest you have a good read through the sources, and add more information to the page, being sure to cite your sources. If you need any help, please feel free to ask me on my talkpage. Best :) - Kingpin13 (talk) 20:04, 12 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm six and i don't know how to sourse please help me!

Sigh, yet another admin pretending to be a noob? Far too blatantly obvious this time. WuhWuzDat 20:10, 12 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

what a admin

FYI, I've removed you're helpme at the Jane Roland Martin; the article is not the correct place to use it. Instead place helpmes on your talkpage (i.e. this page right here at "User talk:I'manoobhelp!"). But feel free to ask me if you need any help.
As to citing sources, I'd be happy to try and help you. At it's simplest level, you simply add this text to the bottom of the page:
==Refereneces==
 {{reflist}}

and then where ever you want to cite a web source, simply add <ref>WEB_ADDRESS</ref>, replacing "WEB_ADDRESS" with the url of the source. Regarding Wuhwuzdat's comment, I presume he thinks you are an experienced editor pretending to be a newb. See WP:NEWT for why. I have to admit your name implies as much :). - Kingpin13 (talk) 20:49, 12 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you.

The article Miss Johnson has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 20:22, 12 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
