- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.
Happy editing! Cheers, Andre🚐 22:09, 29 November 2023 (UTC)
NPOV
[edit]You need to familiarize yourself with Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. I have removed all the content you added to Compulsory cartel, which was a political screed that is completely unacceptable on Wikipedia. Un assiolo (talk) 16:19, 16 August 2024 (UTC)
Due to the extent of your POV additions, I have reported your activity at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents under POV-pushing by User:Hystricidae21. --Un assiolo (talk) 16:58, 16 August 2024 (UTC)
There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. LilianaUwU (talk / contributions) 17:16, 16 August 2024 (UTC)
The problem here was not NPOV. I assumed that you inferred that the word "voetstoots" is related to Voet's name. As I said in my edit summary, according to Wiktionary and the Google definition, the term is unrelated to his name. That's why I removed it, because it's not relevant. Did I incorrectly assume why you added it? Un assiolo (talk) 15:54, 20 August 2024 (UTC)
Pings
[edit]Hey, Hystricidae21! WP:PINGs don't work unless the ping template and your signature are both included in the same edit. You can't go back and fix it in the next edit -- adding the correct code in makes it look like you've pinged someone, but the ping never goes through. You can check your work by previewing before publishing to check whether 1. the person's user name is linked and 2. your sig is appended. Valereee (talk) 14:36, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
Partial block
[edit]Per the WP:ANI discussion up to here, you have been blocked from editing articles directly.
You may request an unblock at this time, but if you do and it fails, another one will not be considered sooner than 6 months from now.--SarekOfVulcan (talk) 14:46, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
