About tagging articles with inadequate references
Many thanks for tagging articles with the tag {{unreferenced}} ! It really helps us Wikipedians aware the need for citing sources in articles, but I would really appreciate if you would tag particular sections of texts within the article that need references with {{facts}} ! That helps us to add references more quickly than just having a tag on top of the page. Thanks! --Raphaelmak 12:04, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the suggestions. One additional comment, I noticed too many of the Hong Kong articles have no references stated. Hydrogen Iodide 17:09, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
Commas
Hi, I noticed you've been inserting commas into the elevations for many articles, but at the same time removing the existing unit conversion templates. The best way to handle this is by using {{Unit ft}}, {{Unit m}}, and other related templates, which format numbers like this:
- {{Unit ft|8036|0}} 8,036 ft (2,449 m)
They even work for approximate numbers by using negative values for the rounding parameter. This is very useful because most general elevations like "9000 ft" don't mean exactly 9000 ft, and so they shouldn't be converted exactly to metric (or vice versa):
- {{Unit ft|9000|-2}} 9,000 ft (2,700 m)
Just a suggestion. These templates are very quick to type once you're used to them (much faster than manual conversion), and they avoid conversion errors. See Category:Unit display for more info. Thanks. --Seattle Skier (talk) 19:54, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I noticed that you created a bunch of "volcanoes by height" categories today. Seems like a fine idea to me, but the highest category needs to be split into 5000-5999 and 6000+, since there are more than 50 volcanoes in the Andes over 6,000 m. I'll go ahead and do so, and delete the 5000+ category. --Seattle Skier (talk) 00:22, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
- I knew I should have asked you first. Hydrogen Iodide 00:25, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
- Why don't you go ahead and create Category:Volcanoes between 5,000 and 5,999 meters, so your name will be in the history instead of mine. Then I can just delete the 5000+ one. --Seattle Skier (talk) 00:27, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
- Done. Hydrogen Iodide
- ?? Quite a few Indonesian volcanoes now have three or more volcano categories- Im suprised you havent had the cat police chasing you on that - is it really necessary to have so many separate volcano categories? (if you have a good reason thats fine, and ok get on with it) but some areas of wikipedia are overcategorised and I thought I'd warn you that some would take interest in such a multiplicity - and give you a hard time over it - believe me SatuSuro 04:00, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
- I guess this is unneeded. Hydrogen Iodide 19:38, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

Score edits of 2007 NBA Playoffs
On the 2007 NBA Playoffs talk page, it has been decided that we will stop in-game score updates because of the pressure it puts on the page's own history section. So please stop the practice and if you have any question, refer back to the talk page on 2007 NBA Playoffs. Thanks. Chris 02:37, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

2 topics
Hey, first of all, I do believe that the topic of tag location is up for discussion, and hope that you will be courteous enough to engage in said discussion on the Millenium Tower. What possible purpose do you feel that the tag serves at the top of the article?
Second topic: I love the idea of having a "Worst Article" listing, as you do on your user page. I submit that the worst article that I have ever encountered on Wikipedia was 2000s, prior to February of this year. Check it out, it was an abomination without rival, and I hope you will consider giving it ex post facto standing on your list . Unschool 01:25, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you, on both counts! I hereby nominate you for the non-existent-but-I-wish-it-did-exist Barnstar of Openmindedness! Unschool 01:32, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- You're welcome. Sorry for the late response. I think you can make that non-existent barnstar anyway. Hydrogen Iodide 02:58, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
South Lake Tahoe Angora Fire
Thank you for you contributions to the Angora Fire section on the South Lake Tahoe article. When you have a moment could you please review the clean up I made to see if it works. Also I have been in contact with a photographer whose images have been used on CNN as well as several newspapers. She has agreed to upload a couple of better images tonight.--Amadscientist 02:04, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

Well, I was looking for a prettier way to do this, but I'm not very artistic, so I'll just say thank you for your support in my RfA, which was closed as successful. I look forward to serving the community in a new way. Take care! -- But|seriously|folks 08:23, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to WikiProject Trains
Hello and welcome to the Trains WikiProject! Thank you for adding your name to our project membership list. Our goal is to build the most comprehensive and detailed guide to rail transport on Wikipedia. As a project member, you may add the project membership userbox to your user page if you wish.
If you haven't done so already, please add our main project page to your watchlist and take some time to review the Trains project manual of style where we have collected guidelines and suggestions on notability and style for a consistent representation of rail transport related material. If you're curious about where to start, we've gathered a few suggestions in the Trains project to do list. If you'd like to specialize in a particular area of study within rail transport, take a look at the current Trains project task forces.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on the project talk page or on my talk page. Again, welcome and happy editing! Slambo (Speak) 18:29, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

After reading your comment on Djmckee1's talkpage about reverts I feel the same. He's done it to me as well. I added the message below to his talkpage. Thanks. DJminisite 17:31, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
Reverting/Vandalism After reading some of the above edits I have noticed that you maybe doing what to some could be thought of as vandalism. This is beginning to annoy other editors, in one case upset them. Please discontinue this bad habit, you are destroying wikipedia. DJminisite 17:28, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

BART stations
Wouldn't "rapid transit" be the more proper term instead of "heavy rail" (which is more like Caltrain)? —Kurykh 22:36, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
