Orphaned non-free media (Image:Feda.png)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Feda.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:15, 16 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for reminding me. I am new to Wikipedia and am having a hard time embedding picture to Wikipedia. The picture is no longer an orphan because it's being used in an article on Wikipedia. Please kindly take a look and let me know if I have done anything wrong. I appreciate it.--Hydrangea Blue (talk) 19:11, 16 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Help on my first article

[edit]

I added a logo to my recent article, but had some problems. I don't know how to get rid of the border around the FEDA logo. And [[Image:|150px]] is on top of the logo which is not supposed to be there. Also, I attempted to add "|leader_name = Jim Hanson, CFSP" or "|president = Jim Hanson, CFSP" to the Infobox Organization box but it didn't show up for some reasons. Can someone help? I used the Infobox Organization template I got from Wikipedia. Thank you in advance.--Hydrangea Blue (talk) 16:56, 16 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of AutoQuotes

[edit]

A tag has been placed on AutoQuotes requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you.  Logical Premise Ergo? 23:56, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of AutoQuotes

[edit]

A tag has been placed on AutoQuotes, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary, which wasn't included with your recent edit to Foodservice Equipment Distributors Association. Thank you. ukexpat (talk) 15:55, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

User sub pages

[edit]

I saw that you have created sub pages as suggested on the help page. I have taken the liberty of adding the {{Usersandbox}} template to both of them. That template just alerts other users that these really are sub-pages that you are working on. If you need any more help, please leave me a message on my talk page. – ukexpat (talk) 22:07, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
