before the question.
By the way, when you are writing on a discussion page (or someone's talk page), it is considered good manners to sign your comment... to do this, just add ~~~~
at the end of your comment. That will put your user name (Hulascott) and the date/time at the end (or you can click on the icon when you are editing. Never sign on an article page - only on a discussion page.
There are several ways of getting help:
- Leave a message on this page. It is on my watchlist, which means that I can see when the page is changed!
- Leave a message on my talk page
- Go into IRC Channel #wikipedia-en-help
- Leave a message on this page starting with
{{helpme}}
followed by your question - someone in the IRC help room will be over as soon as possible - Leave a question on the Help Desk or on the New Contributors' Help Page

Your user page
[edit]You appear to be using your user page (User:Hulascott) for advertising or promotion purposes.
This is not the purpose of your user page (or indeed, Wikipedia).
May I suggest that you remove the page's content? If you decide not to, under Wikipedia's Deletion Policy it can be nominated for a Speedy Deletion as promotional material.
However, I would prefer it if you would remove the content yourself - just edit the page, and delete the contents, leaving a blank page.
Also, may I suggest that you read Wikipedia's Conflict of Interest guidelines?

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Hulascott
[edit]A tag has been placed on User:Hulascott, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ukexpat (talk) 01:37, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
