User talk:Hugh Paterson III
Greetings...
Hello, Hugh Paterson III, and welcome to Wikipedia!

[edit]Hello. Your recent edit to Comparison of reference management software appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. Thank you for this appeal to normal standards. Editorial standards are good. A link included in your comment to some best practice documentation would be appreciated, and may help future users who read our conversation. My contributions, I feel, are inline with the editorial guidance given in the talk section of that specific page. Please advise further if you are providing further guidance on that page’s discussion. My understanding is that these are hand edited tables not compiled templates. I think you should feel free to open Wikipedia stub for each item I listed. I’m not sure how appropriate it is to open a new stub without writing a full article, but it seems like you might be more familiar with the process. Or point me to a tutorial YouTube video. 2A01:E0A:286:F740:24C6:1E7E:C467:1B53 (talk) 12:54, 3 August 2020 (UTC)
