[edit]Hi Sophie, Elizabeth and Hannah: Great start to your article. I've cleaned up your section headers a bit which then allowed the TOC to automatically populate for you. I also inserted a place holder where you'll need to add a brief lead for your article. In looking at the revision histories, it looks as though Hannah is making the majority of the edits. Remember to login as yourselves when contributing so Leigh can grade you appropriately. Keep working on improving your article, and work on adding links. Happy editing! --Rburdette (talk) 17:54, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
- Ladies, you have tons of good information, but you have NO IN-TEXT citations to back up your references at the bottom of the page. That is plagiarism. You must link your references to the places where you use the information in the text. Fix this problem, and you should be good to go for now.--Drdvader21 (talk) 15:55, 2 November 2011 (UTC)
In-line citations
[edit]Will we be going over how to insert the links for the in text citations? I wasn't sure how to do this. Hsmitherman (talk) 22:14, 2 November 2011 (UTC)HSmitherman
- Hi. If your ref is to one of the books shown at the bottom, just put in a short-form citation right after the sentence supported by the reference, for example: <ref>Barnett, pp. 205–17</ref>. If the cite is to an article, give the article's full cite right after the sentence supported by the reference, for example: Wilson said, "I owe everything to my parents."<ref>Barnes, Clive. [url "Wilson Reveals Facts About His Childhood",] ''The New York Times'', March 15, 2002, accessed November 4, 2011</ref> If the article is not online, give the page number after the title of the article instead of the url before it. -- Ssilvers (talk) 19:41, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
