SMART
[edit]How do I mark an article that appears to be below wikipedia's standard?
- I would use one of the cleanup tags. The extensive list can be found at Wikipedia:Template messages/Cleanup. I hope this was useful! I am removing the helpme tag, if you have further inquiries don't hesitate to put it back! Happy Editing! -- lucasbfr talk 08:43, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
Sorting Table
[edit]Is there a way to sort a table in wiki?
- Response: No sorry try asking the help desk. Question click on my "T" WikiMan53 T/C edits 23:05, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
- Correct Response: Yes, there is a way to create sortable tables. From my experience, it is rather difficult, but I'm not too familiar with the process or Java scripts. You can find details about creating sortable tables here. AuburnPilottalk 04:38, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
Start Ups
[edit]I'm starting to notice a lot of startup companies using wikipedia to advertise. I would hate to go do this to every startup, but it's just plain irresponsible. Is there a way to alert the wikipedia community?
- Hello Hqduong! For articles on startup companies that do not meet the notability guidelines, there are several options. For short, blatantly advertising articles that couldn't really be considered articles at all you should add {{db-spam}} to the top of the article page. For longer ones that do read more like an article, but still do not follow WP:NOTE, you can propose the article for deletion using the {{subst:prod|reason}} tag and giving your reason.
If you have any more questions feel free to ask here, and I'll do my best to get back to you promptly. Good luck! — Editor at Large(speak) 00:04, 1 January 2007 (UTC)

Citation
[edit]I need help, what tag to use when citation is needed? Hqduong 18:41, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
- For in line editing, use {{fact}} (looks like [citation needed]). But if a whole section needs sources, use {{Unreferenced}}. If you need more help, contact me on my talk page! └Jared┘┌talk┐ 19:17, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
Pictures
[edit]Where do I find help uploading a picture and then referencing to it? -Hqduong
Wikipedia:Uploading images is probably the best place to start. The search function is definitely not very good here. In the future, you can use "Wikipedia:" before a topic if you want to look up something about the site itself. KevinPuj 19:54, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:ONStor Logo.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:ONStor Logo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 02:16, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
weasel tag
[edit]Hello. You recently added the {{weasel}} tag to the McCain article. I scanned the summary and didn't see what you meant. What weasel words are there? Thanks. ~a (user • talk • contribs) 16:01, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
