Thoosie template
[edit]Hello HotMess, I wanted to inquire if you would want to donate your "thoosie" userbox to the Wikipedia:WikiProject Amusement Parks/Templates page? I think it is a fun design that might resonate with other editors. Hope all is going well! Adog (Talk・Cont) 15:50, 5 November 2022 (UTC)
- 👀
- sounds cool, how do I donate it? 🔥HOTm̵̟͆e̷̜̓s̵̼̊s̸̜̃🔥 (talk | contrib) 14:07, 8 November 2022 (UTC)
- All that is needed is to put {{yy|User:HotMess/Templates/user thoosie}} to the bottom of the userbox template list. I have been thinking about making some boxes in the past, but never got around to it. Maybe in the future, I will also add some fun phrases to our WikiProject. Protection Court
[edit]HI. Thanks for helping me improve the article I created at Protection Court. I appreciate it much. However, I'm also trying to get a WP:DYK approval, and they won't do it with the tags on the article, so could find other ways to help without using them? Thanks for understanding. - see the HTML comments in the synopsis section. 🔥HOTm̵̟͆e̷̜̓s̵̼̊s̸̜̃🔥 (talk・edits) 23:38, 16 April 2023 (UTC)
- I removed the promotional tone, and I like your idea about the merger of the two similar statements. I'll work on it. Thanks. Huggums537 (talk) 23:53, 16 April 2023 (UTC)
- If you have any ideas for the merger please feel free to incorporate them. Thank you. Huggums537 (talk) 23:55, 16 April 2023 (UTC)

Selected anniversaries/December 22

Rocky de la Fuente
[edit]I just undid your edits on Rocky de la Fuente, because they were a very understandable error. Y'see, Rocky's sons Ricky and Roque III have also run for political office (it's covered toward the bottom of the article). It was their elections you added to Rocky's chart. (Making it even more confusing is that Rocky and one of his sons ran in the same election, CA district 21.)
Welcome to the confusing world that is the de la Fuente dynasty. -- Nat Gertler (talk) 00:04, 15 February 2024 (UTC)

DYK for Joseph Tetley
[edit]On 11 July 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Joseph Tetley, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Joseph Tetley, a member of the New Zealand Legislative Council, defrauded several investors to the 2017 equivalent value of under NZ$7 million? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Joseph Tetley. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Joseph Tetley), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Removal of GrandChildren from A.K Faezul Huq
[edit]The integrity of our family history is paramount, and I believe the removal of the "grandchildren" section and the names of A.K. Faezul Huq's children compromises this integrity.
The inclusion of these details is not merely a matter of sentimentality, but a fundamental aspect of preserving our family's accurate lineage. Unfortunately, there have been individuals who have falsely claimed kinship with our family, causing confusion and potential harm to our reputation. By accurately documenting the descendants of A.K. Faezul Huq, we can safeguard our family history from such misrepresentations.
The names of his children represent a vital link to our past and present. Their omission creates a void in our family narrative, diminishing the significance of their contributions and their place within our lineage.
I understand the importance of maintaining a concise presentation, but I firmly believe that the accurate representation of our family history outweighs any concerns about brevity. I am confident that we can find a way to present this information in a manner that is both accurate and concise, ensuring that the integrity of our family history is upheld.
I urge you to reconsider this decision and work with me to find a solution that preserves the accuracy and completeness of our family history. Faizaan.huh (talk) 21:38, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
- 1. I would strongly suggest moving this discussion to Talk:A. K. Faezul Huq instead, seeing as this discussion is about that article.
- 2. See WP:NOTGENEALOGY.
Family histories should be presented only where appropriate to support the reader's understanding of a notable topic.
I'm not sure how listing the names of all of A. K. Faezul Huq's children and grandchildren supports the reader's understanding of the notable topic of A. K. Faezul Huq himself. - If you wish to discuss this further, lets continue this discussion over on Talk:A. K. Faezul Huq instead, alright? 🔥HOTm̵̟͆e̷̜̓s̵̼̊s̸̜̃🔥 (talk・edits) 22:46, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
