The article Darren Rodwell has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Vauxhall (UK Parliament constituency), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page National Theatre. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Bruce Machan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. J947 18:29, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with George Turner (journalist). Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 20:31, 3 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If I may add, please do not blank pages, as you did with George Turner. The entry was already being considered for deletion and your removal of the template to delete could have delayed it. If in future you object to the existence of a page (and I also believe the George Turner entry should be deleted), then you should ensure it is done through the proper process via the deletion template referenced above. Thank you. MB190417 (talk) 18:33, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2017 election voter message

[edit]

Hello, HotIceCream. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Lewisham West and Penge (UK Parliament constituency), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Russell (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Lewisham London Borough Council election, 2018, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.

A couple of things for you to note:

  • We write section headings in sentence case, not title case.
  • Dates should be written as "30 April" or "April 30" depending on national ties / consistency within articles, and with no ordinal suffix.

Hillside Ward Results

[edit]

On 18 April 2017, you edited Merton London Borough Council election, 2014 and introduced a summary of results for the Hillside ward. Because no other tables were added for the other wards, I have removed the table and instead written a brief summary of results, which I hope you will appreciate.

I also noticed that you did not reference a source for your results, and in fact that the results were incorrect. You stated that Suzanne Evans attained 645 votes with 8.8% of the vote, achieving 4th place; in fact, she attained 342 votes (5%) and achieved 8th place.[1] You used this to claim that Evans "did achive [sic] one of the highest UKIP vote shares in the election." Some of your other results were also incorrect (543 instead of 534 votes) or attributed to the wrong candidates, although the rank was broadly observed.

This is suspicious editing. Please reference your sources and ensure that data are copied accurately where necessary. Thanks! Matt 190417 (talk) 15:52, 22 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Bracknell

[edit]

Hi. I just removed your edit that Phillip Lee is the Lib Dem candidate for Bracknell at the next election. If you look at the source you cited, it states: “To answer directly, because I like to answer directly, I will be standing as a Liberal Democrat candidate. I think the decision as to where is for another day.” Clearly we cannot say, at this stage, that he will stand again in Bracknell. Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Section 28 into Bob Blackman. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa (talk) 11:57, 29 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
