[edit]Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Chuck Billy (vocalist). While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. - Why can't I edit Wikipedia?
Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.
- Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?
Probably not, although if you can demonstrate a pattern of future editing in strict accordance with our neutral point of view policy, you may be granted this right. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again.
- What can I do now?
If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.
If you do intend to make useful contributions here about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:
- Add the text
{{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
on your user talk page. - Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
- Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Nakon 23:27, 11 April 2015 (UTC)

I apologize, I was not aware of the rules I have only been on wikipedia maybe 1 or 2 times in my life. Didn't know what the username policy was. I know you probably make that available but honestly, I have never read a user agreement online before. Can I have my IP unblocked and delete this account so I can just have a username under my real name? I have no reason for using it other than to make 1 or 2 posts but now I likely will never use it but would like the opportunity to use it in the right way in the future if I change my mind. I have some things to learn on how to properly use wikipedia, i did not realize I would be blocked in 30 seconds, as I have been. I do not want to be blocked for life because of 1 mistake. Please let me know what to do next. Thank you.
Decline reason:
The username is only one half of the problem (and you're welcome to suggest a new username in line with the username policy by requesting an unblock with this template: {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
). The other half is that apparently your sole purpose on Wikipedia is to promote HotBoxMag and press releases published in that venue. That's not acceptable. Huon (talk) 14:18, 12 April 2015 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

this whole process is confusing. I read the unblock thing and it's like I have to beg for forgiveness when I made a simple mistake. I have never even used Wikipedia before so I had no idea of the rules or even what it was about. It was an honest mistake. Ok, my purpose for 5 minutes was to post an article however I did not even know that was against the law. Now I am banned and it's like, for what? I can't ever make a mistake. So you are perfect? I highly doubt you have never made a mistake. I wish I had an explanation for what has happened but it has happened so quickly I am just in shock. How can I close my account totally? I want to just close it and not have my email associated with Wikipedia.
Decline reason:
Merging multiple unblock requests. You can simply stop using this account. There is no email address associated with it. Yunshui 雲水 08:40, 13 April 2015 (UTC)

This is the craziest thing I have ever seen. I was not even aware of any rules or the fact I would be blocked. I think it is unfair and to be totally honest will discourage me from ever using Wikipedia again. I can't even navigate to try and resolve this, its too confusing.

I was looking around and noticed other publications have a Wikipedia page about their company. Is that allowed?
Decline reason:
This is not an unblock request. See the guidelines on notability and on conflicts of interest. Huon (talk) 14:18, 12 April 2015 (UTC)
