Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Lindsey Stirling, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Grimes. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:09, 5 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Hopscotch27. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Andy Stewart".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 17:15, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Gezim Pepsi

[edit]

Hello, Hopscotch27,

Thank you for creating Gezim Pepsi.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

What is needed are references from significant coverage about this player, and not their own words; in multiple secondary sources which are WP:RS; that is your guide. Lists, Team rosters, pages listing matches and results, databases, Instagram, Soccerway, Facebook, none of these are reliable sources. (There have been changes to the notability guide for sports - see WP:NSPORT ) You may also read WP:PRIMARY which details the limited permitted usage of primary sources. A more comprehensive guide is WP:SOURCES ... Providing sufficient references, ideally giving more information about this player, that meet these criteria is likely to allow this article to remain. Lack of them or an inability to find them is likely to mean that this article is not suitable for inclusion. Kindly do the needful. Thank you.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Whiteguru}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Whiteguru (talk) 06:07, 25 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Whiteguru: Absolutely happy to explore finding additional references. However, what I would like to understand - as I had another page removed before as it was not referenced sufficiently, is can you explain how the following pages of players representing the same club are happily sitting without removal? Examples include: Nico Hug, Gabriel Lüchinger - both have 1 reference which is Soccerway.
I will try to secure more references, I understand "notability guidelines" - all I was attempting to do was curate information for players, in the same way as had been done already.
Thanks in advance for your help, I just want to understand better with regards creating a page and why I have had a few instances of my work being removed despite significant time being put into creating these for information.
Hopscotch27 (talk) 07:50, 25 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I meant representing another club in the Swiss league, apologies. However, I would cite Florian Baak as another example? Hopscotch27 (talk) 07:53, 25 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Hopscotch27 I confess I am not responsible for what other New Page Patrollers do - nor do I defend such practices. The examples you give are examples of indelicate reviewing. I did go through all the references in the article. Yes, this fellow exists. Yes, this fellow plays football. However, I did not read any significant coverage of this player. This is the principal and only reason why the article was tagged. I would like to suggest you take a read of WP:NSPORTS2022 proposal 5 as summarised by Wugapodes. It's what we work on. Find ONE good reference with significant coverage, and you're on your way. --Whiteguru (talk) 08:07, 25 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Duly noted 2022 Sport Individual/Team/Event requirement of notability.

Thanks for responding to my draft and I understand that due to sources it is not going to be accepted. However, I would like to know how this page about the same subject in 1988 - https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/1988_Austrian_Supercup- is acceptable despite it sourcing no references at all?
I don't mind the non-acceptance, I just like to understand when I want to increase the articles and knowledge.
Thanks,

Please use edit summaries

[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary (or the default undo summary), and then click the "Save" button. Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete or generic. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact source (such as the web page, or printed document) where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain, search engine, pinboard, aggregator, or the direct/bare URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. — Ирука13 13:55, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
