As you are a frequent contributor to this article, you might want to weigh in on the discussion Talk:Gun_laws_in_the_United_States_(by_state)#2009_Brady_Campaign_State_Scorecard. Niteshift36 (talk) 23:09, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
I've started a talk page discussion. Let's continue the discussion there. Shadowjams (talk) 09:30, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
- In doing the research on that page, I found a book that looks to have a lot more information about much of the NFA and its challenges, but unfortunately Google book preview isn't available. If you're inclined to find it in hard copy, it might be of some interest: Guns in American society: an encyclopedia of history, politics, culture, and the law, Volume 1, Guns in American Society: An Encyclopedia of History, Politics, Culture, and the Law, Gregg Lee Carter, Gregg Lee Carter, ISBN 1576072681. I have no clue what the tone/politics of the book are, but it looked relevant. Shadowjams (talk) 22:00, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
- OK, thanks. Next time I'm at the library, I'll see if they have a copy. Hoplophile (talk) 22:03, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
Request for mediation of Gun laws in the United States (by state)
[edit]A request for formal mediation of the dispute relating to Gun laws in the United States (by state) was recently filed. As an editor concerned in this dispute, you are invited to participate in the mediation. The process of mediation is entirely voluntary and focuses exclusively on the content issues over which there is disagreement. Please review the request page and the guide to mediation requests and then indicate in the "party agreement" section whether you would agree to participate. Discussion relating to the mediation request welcome at the case talk page.
Thank you, AGK 15:05, 1 June 2010 (UTC)
- Hello, Hoplophile. I hope you will agree to this mediation, by posting the word "agree" and your signature at Wikipedia:Requests for mediation/Gun laws in the United States (by state)#Parties' agreement to mediation. We might need that for the mediation to proceed. Your subsequent participation in any discussions would be encouraged but optional. Thanks. — Mudwater (Talk) 13:41, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
You are in violation of the 3RR rule
[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. DocOfSoc (talk) 01:18, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
- The excerpt does not belong in the lead paragraph. Please familiarize yourself with the following policy [1] Please avoid changes that smack of racism to a large portion of any population.
Please Remember to edit in "Good Faith." In addition, the info is already contained in the body of the article so is redundant. I see you have not made many edits and in good faith I am assuming you are not familiar with Wiki's policies or pillars. You may want to do so. Happy Editing! Shalom! [edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Subtropics, but we cannot accept original research. Original research also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Nullarbor has a semi-arid climate, not a subtropical. Bidgee (talk) 10:08, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Subtropics. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Bidgee (talk) 21:20, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
