Welcome!

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!  nsaum75 !Dígame¡ 07:19, 12 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Edit comments

[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Spiritualism. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. Yworo (talk) 23:01, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Also, please do not break Wikilinks by changing the text between double-brackets. In Spiritualism (beliefs) you changed:

Both of these changes broke the links to the articles as you can see by the link color turning from blue to red. In addition the use of a / to indicate some sort of fuzzy concept is simply bad writing. Elsewhere you also changed God to God/Force. This is an attempt to make some sort of claim better made with full sentences, the word "and", and the use of commas. Thanks! Yworo (talk) 23:10, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Changes to sourced text

[edit]

I notice you are also changing the text before citations. For example at Spiritualism (beliefs), you changed "Only a few individuals are said to have this capacity.", which was sourced to a page in Brockway, to "Only a few individuals are said to have this "exceptional" capacity, but all individuals possess it on at least a latent level." Does Brockway make this claim? Because you are saying he does. Do you even have a copy of this source?

I am reverting all your changes to this article due to these irregularities. If you add new claims to the article, you should be adding new sources to support these claims. Yworo (talk) 23:13, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I hope you enjoy editing here. And I hope you won't be discouraged when other editors point out the minor problems in some of your edits that almost all new editors make. Your contributions are important, and I invite you to continue editing. Here's one other minor issue. In a recent edit to the page Spiritualism (beliefs), you changed one or more words from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, or New Zealand, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Happy editing! Thank you. 174.99.127.20 (talk) 23:57, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
