Thanks for the greeting! I've just figured out how to mark minor edits, so bear with me. The line from Mr. Mom always rings in my mind, "You're doing it wrong." :o) Beemer69 01:25, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
- No problem :) And I apologise for marking your userpage for a "speedy deletion". I mistakenly thought it was an article. Spellcast 01:32, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
Minor Slithering
No worries about calling me out. However, we cannot use the stuff about the video game at all unles sit is reliably sourced. Maybe you want to address it yourself, either self-reverting or removing it yourself (er, third option, find a source for it). - Arcayne (cast a spell) 01:03, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
Time in football biography infoboxes
Hi, I noticed your edit summary on Kaká and subsequent comment on Orangina2's talk page. You may not be aware that the infobox {see documentation here) requires a timestamp of the last time the infobox statistics were updated. The example input indicates that this is done by entering ~~~~~ at pcupdate or ntupdate as appropriate, which produces time as well as date. Orangina2 is following the standards correctly in this case. I'll add a note to their talk page to clear the matter up. cheers, Struway2 08:57, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
Use of Preview
Hi Beemer69, thanks for the tip about using the preview feature. I'm actually pretty horrible about remembering to use it. However, in the case you cited about World Footballer of the Year, I think the main problem was that I was trying to add information about Kaka's win to multiple parts of the page, so I just needed to actually do many segmented edits to keep track of how much I had finished. Thanks for the tip anyways! Jairuscobb (talk) 02:18, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- One other note; I was under the impression that Reuters had already reported that Kaka had won the award. [1] However, if you want to wait for the actually announcement ceremony or whatever on December 2nd, I guess that's fine.
- Jairuscobb (talk) 04:54, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- Not sure if I get what you mean by "more opinion than fact" when removing the information about discussion of the SF2 boss characters. It's not really opinion to observe that people are doing something. In any case, those items are sketchy and I left them removed, but I changed "Shadaloo" back to "Shadoloo" because the Wikipedia article is under that title. JuJube (talk) 10:04, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
Hermione citation
Okay, maybe JKR's statement that Hermione reminds her of herself at a younger age is referred to and elaborated later on in the article. The fact remains, however, that whatever source that quote is from has not been cited yet, and it needs to be if you want to use it there. Please, do explain why you apparently want it removed. Draco Malfoy - Good faith?
Hi, You've reverted my edits on Draco Malfoy on the grounds that "this is redundant". Could you just explain what that means? I am trying to show that although the Malfoys were the sort to look out for themselves, even with their backs to the wall, Harry Potter was decent enough to feel sorry for them, enemies or not. Granted, it says more about Harry than Draco, but it also shows how much the latter and his family are selfish, self-centred and only look after their own, while Harry goes so far as sacrificing his own life in order to destroy Voldemort.--Marktreut (talk) 09:16, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
Oh, sorry!
Well, excuse me for my silly edit in the article that seems to be the most important to you. Could you explain me what does "ply someone's trade" means shortly? I'm not native to English and I'd be happy to learn something new. Thank you!
Oh, and also, I write about football in the Hebrew Wikipedia. Can you show me good news sites about football players? It will help me in my writing there. Thanks in advance. YemeniteCamel (talk) 20:30, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

It's no problem that you reverted my edit, but, I dont think it's a mere coincidence. I'm going to search for evidence to see if I can get it back in. Grsz11 (talk) 15:53, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
- I've been looking up on her post DH interviews (Dumbledore's gay, Neville marries Hannah, etc.) but nothing. It really is disappointing, as he should be the most reputable character, aside from Harry. Grsz11 (talk) 04:11, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
Apparently, some of the editors that are in charge managing the NFL's rosters on Wikipedia have started a new thing, where all free agents are listed as 'free agents' as opposed to members of their previous teams. Even though I think the concept is weird since players become a free agent on 2/29, its become some what of a norm on Wikipedia. You do not have to keep reverting the page back to the version that lists Grossman pre-Free Agent version. Thanks for keeping an eye on the page though. :) --ShadowJester07 ► Talk 04:47, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

I believed it was a constructive edit at the time, the internet site I used has since retracted the page. No9shirt (talk) 18:09, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

Why are you identifying my contributions as vandalism? I'm only trying to help! (slaps you)Angie Y. (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 01:58, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
School diva
Hello, and thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia. I would appreciate it if you'd take a moment and go to the talk page for School diva and leave a rationalization for the source tag you put on the article. I'd appreciate it, and it would make your edit appear more justified than say, an edit war with Angie Y., who has contributed extensively to this article, and who, according to the section above in your talk page, you've had less-than-positive interactions with before. Thanks. • Freechild'sup? 06:12, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks - I appreciate that clarification, which will provide a pointed way to improve the article.• Freechild'sup? 06:28, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
Can you inform me why you moved the page back? Have you read {{WP:COMMONNAME}}? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ruairí Óg's (talk • contribs) 19:25, April 12, 2008 (UTC)
- Actually the name is wrong and you have re made it incorrect. Pele is Pele not Edison Arantes do Nascimento, Zico is Zico not Arthur Antunes Coimbra, Ronaldinho not Ronaldo de Assís Moreira and Ronaldo not Ronaldo Luis Nazário de Lima - need I go on. Just like there is more than 1 Dida there is more than 1 Ronaldo, in cases like that you just create something this Ronaldo (name). Again read COMMONNAME and revert it to the correct version and then you will understand why it is wrong. Ruairí Óg's (talk) 12:05, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
Notice
Beemer69, by blanking out the "See also" sections in Puerto Rican related articles which link the subjects to other related Wikipedia articles you are vandalizing. I request that to put an end to this, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. Thank you, Tony the Marine (talk) 19:05, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- As I stated before, the "See also" sections in these articles will lead the reader to other articles in Wikipedia which are related to the subject and are mentioned within the article. If a reader reads an article about Bernie Williams for example, he may be interested in finding out about other famous Puerto Ricans in the List of Puerto Ricans. I must also remind you that "Puerto Rican" is not an "ethnicity", it is a nationality. Hey, I know that you are well intentioned, but you can't blank sections because in your "opinion" they are "unnecessary sections". Take care. Tony the Marine (talk) 14:26, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
Excessive copyrighted images on Tomb Raider
I've addressed this issue on the talkpage of Tomb Raider, and explained why I think the use of these screenshots is justified on this article. Please post your comments. Thank you. --Steerpike (talk) 10:19, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Gonzalo Javier Rodriguez
This is my first time on talk, but I'm wondering why I can't say he returned to a good vain of form. And can I mention that he will be taking part in Villareal's Champions League campaign next season? Can I also mention his centre back partnership with Godín?Feemar5 (talk) 22:25, 4 June 2008 (UTC) User: Feemar5 —Preceding comment was added at 21:49, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Grateful
I'm very grateful for the work you do. You should not have to put up with the personal attacks that get lobbed your way. In future, take this to AN/I so proper action can be taken. I'm sure Angie does this because she believes that she can get away with it. This was taken to AN in February, where an admin said they would support a short block for incivility. Seraphim♥Whipp 14:28, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
- I'm just seeing a lot of editors getting abuse lately, and the ones who are doing the abusing, don't seem to have a clue about the harm their actions can cause. If there's ever anything you need, you know where I am :). Seraphim♥Whipp 16:24, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
Players' navboxes
Oh, your welcome. I really wasn't my idea though, I too saw it from another article (Giovanni Trapattoni) while I was adding a template for the Italian Euro 2004 squad to the players' and coach's articles. :)Do U(knome)? yes...|or no · 14:21, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Deco?
Just was wondering what was wrong with that first paragraph in Deco's article? Birdy (talk) 03:54, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
- - His early years at Porto, where he was rigorously whipped into shape by trainer Jose Mourinho, showed him to be a talented playmaker and earned him the nickname "Magico" from the Porto fans for his magical touch. He was known to be a gifted yet truculent player as he devoted more of his efforts into defending than what was expected of a playmaker. This made him register almost as many cards as assists and goals scored. His behaviour proved costly to Porto in games where he was either sent off or wasn't "tuned in" with the game. Nevertheless, he was a key figure during the three-year drought in the early 2000s.
I erased it because it doesn't provide any noteworthy information. The paragraph consisted of weasel words, peacock terms and POV. Plus, material like "He was whipped into shape," he is a "talented playmaker," and that he wasn't "tuned in" is nothing more than unsourced opinion. I don't want to bore you with a whole diatribe, but I hope you get my point. Beemer69 chitchat 04:22, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
- Nope not boring me at all. I rather new to the wikipedia scene, and want to learn more about editing and adding information. Thanks for the explanation. Birdy (talk) 14:57, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
HP articles and Notability
Hey there! You may take a look a the Notability discussion (at the bottom of the page) that is taking place in the WikiProject regarding the remaining articles. Only the websites and a couple of lists have not yet been considered to be definitely kept. --Lord Opeth (talk) 18:15, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
Recent changes to Emmanuel Adebayor
You have good points on removing the Style of Play section on the Adebayor page, but I think a change like that should be discussed first. As such, I've attempted to start just such a discussion: Talk:Emmanuel Adebayor. Further, I don't think removing the section is the right way to go about it -- I think it would be far better to rework the section rather than just kill it. – moonty (talk) (contribs) 05:49, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
First of all, I've to tell you that I'm not an english speaker, so my English could be bad or rough. I want to know why do you revert the image Image:Iker Casillas Eurocopa (cropped).jpg when someone adds the image on the article Iker Casillas. I think that this image is better than the other one because it's a more recent picture, the player is playing football, the image has a good resolution and it's well licensed too. If the problem is that the other image is not used, both images can coexist on the page. Could you explain me your reasons before you revert the image again?
