Contested deletion

[edit]

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (your reason here) --Home Of Charity (talk) 01:38, 27 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You don't offer a reason for contesting, but the biggest problem here is that your username does not comply with the Username Policy, as usernames cannot be that of an organization. It is likely you will be asked to change it- if you wish to do so now, please go to this page for instructions. Second, your user page is blatant advertising/promotion, which is not permitted. 331dot (talk) 01:42, 27 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Home Of Charity

[edit]

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... It's a charity page --Home Of Charity (talk) 02:57, 27 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The fact that this page is about a charity is not relevant. I hope your charity is successful, but Wikipedia is not for telling the world about your good cause. Wikipedia is not for an "official page" about your charity. Please find an appropriate forum to do so. Please read my post above regarding your username. 331dot (talk) 02:59, 27 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]
Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username. It also appears that your account is intended to be used for the purpose of telling the world about an organization, person or cause that you consider worthwhile. Unfortunately, many good causes are not sufficiently notable for their own Wikipedia article, and all users are discouraged from editing in any area where they have an inherent conflict of interest. You may wish to consider one of these alternative outlets.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Thank you.
