The two Collingwood images
Neat! Glad we finally have those - though Odin looks more bored than in torment :) Haukur (talk) 21:40, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
Hello, Holt. I've looked at the article Winter Nights, and removed two misguiding categories; and then, when i looked at it again: Wouldn't you say that references in that article are weak: only a private, neopagan website!? And the article was written by Domisamazing, a Single purpose user. It would certainly strengthen the article in we could find more reliable sources, like Vera Henriksen, Gro Steinsland or any other of these. Bw --Orland (talk) 07:20, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
- Hi Morten, while I wouldn't exactly concur with Vera Henriksen being a reliable source on Norse paganism, I do agree that this article needs a fair bit of cleaning. I just stripped it of some crazy paragraphs. This blot is simply the autumn blot, it is mentioned in many of the sagas, and many have written about it in later years. I honestly cannot do anything about this now, though I can assure you that you or someone else will find a lot just by doing some research on the autumn blot – høstblot, vinternatt/-netter osv. Take care, –Holt (T•C) 14:24, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
Hi!
When reverting, please be sure to keep all useful versions up. You restored the Norse culture tag, when it is obvious that no Norse people lived in 1370 BC. Againme (talk) 16:26, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for the constructive note, I apologize for not elaborating more about my revert. As LokiClock has stated, the Norse WP does encompass more than one might think from its title, and thus the Egtved Girl remains in the scope. Regards, –Holt (T•C) 01:00, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
