Translation of L'italiana in Algeri
[edit]Hi. Thank you very much for translating my synopsis into Chinese. Much appreciated.
We are now trying to put in a section on recordings at the foot of each opera article so we may be moving recording cover photos there. Is that OK?
Best wishes - I used to live in HK! - Kleinzach 08:50, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
oh, certainly. move it as you like :) !! Thank you for your appreciation :). Chinese wiki doesn't have much article about Opera, I think I may try to translate some others in the future.
In fact, I am not a opera lover... It just happened that I have the L'italiana in Algeri live record music file, I want to know about the story, so I translate it before I listen to it :p
Oh.... you used to live here 8) !! Hope you like HongKong :D !!

About "Paragraph 175"
[edit][copied]
I translated the Paragraph 175 into Chinese according to the English Translation.
I found some confusion here:
- a man who professionally offers himself for such an act as either the active or passive partner.
- (under "Version of June 28, 1935" and "Version of June 25, 1969 (West Germany)")
It is about prostitution or a "skillful masturbation"??
Thank you. --Hkchan123 06:08, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

thank you..
here is another question.
- In the middle part of "Developement in East Germany":
- Lewdness (Unzucht) was defined as any act that is performed to arouse sexual excitement and "violates the moral sentiment of our workers."
What is "Workers" refers to??
The judges? the prosecuters etc.?...or the whole worker class in the society?
Thank you

Carolina parakeet
[edit]Hi, I picked the reference you asked for. See Talk:Carolina Parakeet for details. By the way, is there a Chinese WP category "Extinct Birds" or "Prehistoric/Fossil Birds" already? If yes, can you give me the URL so I can link it? If not, many articles about birds which may be of interest to the ZH:WP readers can be found linked on Fossil birds for example.
Also, I added a short note at the end of the Carolina 'keet article which you may want to copy too (on the Thick-billed Parrot). Dysmorodrepanis 16:43, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Upu-logo.gif)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Upu-logo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 06:55, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Hkchan123. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Hkchan123~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
