Calotes rouxii[edit]

You can't just change the content of Calotes rouxii in the way that you did. If there is a reliable secondary source for a different genus, then the article needs to be moved to a new title and then the content changed. Do you have such a reliable secondary source? Regarding the taxonomy change[edit]

If you click on current external link, the reptile database does not give results. It does not make sense to keep outdated data on wikipedia if the reptile authority has already updated(here reptile database). I had updated all section necessary after checking the reptile database.

Existing website gives this link : http://reptile-database.reptarium.cz/species?genus=Calotes&species=rouxii

The result is empty.

Try this instead: http://reptile-database.reptarium.cz/species?genus=Monilesaurus&species=rouxii

It shows details now and observe its Monilesaurus rouxii and not the outdated Calotes rouxii. Harshith J. V. (talk) 02:49, 16 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Also you can refer this article which explain the taxonomy changes across couple lizard species of Western Ghats: https://india.mongabay.com/2018/10/26/photo-feature-meet-the-new-species-of-dragon-lizards-from-the-western-ghats/

After reading this article I checked the reptile database.
