Thoroughbred horse Infobox template

[edit]

Bonjour Historicair. - Galopin has generously volunteered to help the Wikipedia:WikiProject Thoroughbred racing create an Infobox and has done a great job. Take a look at his talk page (User talk:Galopin#Template tests) for the two choices for the bottom box and those horses where I set up their box today using sample 1. Hi Historicair. Thanks for the graph, it looks good. Can I ask where you got the statistics from? The article is sometimes a controversial target, so it's nice to round-up references when we can. If you could give me the reference I'd be glad to put it into the article. Cheers.--Bookandcoffee 17:51, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

French translation

[edit]

I just did an article on Gladiateur but did not know and could not get a traslation of the book reference: L'épopée de Gladiateur. Can you tell me the English meaning of L'épopée? Thanx. Handicapper 21:00, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanx, I put your translation in the article. I'm looking for a bit of information on France not in Wiki so if I may ask, where in France are you from? Handicapper 17:16, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject France

[edit]

Hello! We are a group of editors working to improve the quality of France related articles. You look like someone who might be interested in joining us in the France WikiProject and so I thought I'd drop you a line and invite you! We'd love to have you in our project :-) STTW (talk) 16:19, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Would you mind looking at this Prix de Diane Hermès at tell me what they say about where the race name "Diane" comes from? Thanx. Handicapper 18:10, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Classic Races

[edit]

I see on the France Galop website on the Prix du Jockey Club that they state: "The Prix du Jockey Club, regarded by purists to be the most important of all French Classic races" [1]. Do you know which other races are "Classics" in France so that we can create an article similar to the one we have for British Classic Races? Thanx. Handicapper 15:12, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanx for your help. I made a brief article. French Classic Races. Handicapper 12:19, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pictograms

[edit]

I see you haven't been editing for a little while but hope you will be back soon. I have been using your pictograms that you put on the Project talk page and was wondering if you could create one that depicts a farm/stable that we could insert in appropriate articles. Thanx. That would be appreciated. Handicapper (talk) 18:00, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

Hello Historicair! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 0 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
