Request reason:

I’m a real person, not a sock puppet of Rosedelune. I don’t even know who Rosedelune is. I’m a music enthusiast, fan of Earth, Wind & Fire and other related artists. I just happened upon the Tequila Mockingbird song page because it’s related to Larry Dunn of Earth, Wind & Fire and voted KEEP because I felt the song should have its own page and based on the reasons stated by others. I don’t post a lot on Wikipedia so I'm not too familiar with the "detailed" rules of posting. In the past I’ve posted on other pages via my IP address and just recently created a userid. Hopefully this explanation will be justification enough for an unblock. Thanks in advance. Hiroman60 (talk) 01:39, 1 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficient for any reviewing administrator to take action. You are welcome to request a new block review if you substantially reword your request. Yamla (talk) 16:11, 20 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Hi Yamla, Can you clarify why my unblock request has been denied and in detail explain what I need to do in order to get unblocked (reword how?). Is there a reason why I was singled out and blocked in the first place? As I previously stated, I am not a sock puppet and feel that it’s my right to vote one way or the other based on the information presented on a given page. 1984, Newspeak, Thought Police…I hope not. This was formatted as an unblock request, but is more a question to the declining administrator than an actual unblock request. I have now unbureaucratically removed the "unblock" template tags from it, as there is a new request below. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 00:36, 4 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Hiroman60,
Which articles would you like to edit? Which edits would you like to make there?
Best regards,
~ ToBeFree (talk) 23:57, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

ST47, having had a look at the SPI, is the explanation above credible enough for a second chance? ~ ToBeFree (talk) 23:57, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi ToBeFree, At this time I'm not planning on updating any articles, the ones I voted on have been deleted by someone. I'm just inquiring on what Yamla is requesting of me (rewording my request) so I can get unblocked. In regard to SPI, I'm the only one using this account and have no other accounts on Wikipedia. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks. Hiroman60 (talk) 00:25, 4 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Unblock request converted to normal comment ~ ToBeFree (talk) 18:18, 5 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hiroman60, there is no specific reason why the unblock request did not succeed. Noone was comfortable enough with unblocking your account, probably because of the sockpuppetry/meatpuppetry suspicion.
The Task Center and the community portal contain ideas for constructive contributions. I will probably unblock your account if you would like to use it for editing Wikipedia articles, and if ST47 is okay with this.
There is no deadline for an unblock request; you may simply say "I take back the unblock request for now" and make it again when you would like to edit Wikipedia.
It is much easier to undo a block if you can prove that it currently prevents you from making helpful contributions. The participation in the deletion discussion was not helpful, but an understandable mistake.
Would you like to take back the unblock request for now, or would you like to edit Wikipedia, and in which ways?
Thank you very much in advance and best regards,
~ ToBeFree (talk) 00:43, 4 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
ToBeFree, Thank you for your help. Based on your explanation on how I can get unblocked, I'll have to remain blocked until I'm ready to edit Wikipedia? Is that the only way? If so, I guess I'll remain blocked at this time until I'm ready to edit Wikipedia. I'll attempt to make an edit next week. Regards, Hiroman60 (talk) 16:20, 4 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Unblock request converted to normal comment ~ ToBeFree (talk) 18:18, 5 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
No worries, Hiroman60. Yes, an unblock request should ideally contain examples for edits you would like to make. This way, we can see that the block is no longer necessary to prevent disruption, and that it currently prevents you from making constructive contributions. If this is the case, and if ST47 is fine with this, I think I'll unblock you. Feel free to notify me about your new request ({{ping|ToBeFree}} ~~~~). Best regards, ~ ToBeFree (talk) 18:18, 5 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi ToBeFree, Will do, thank you. Regards, ~ Hiroman60
Hi ToBeFree, Sorry I haven’t gotten back to you sooner but I’ve had to take care of things because of what’s going on right now. Can I send you an example of an edit that I’d like to make so you can review it first? Regards, Hiroman60 (talk) 21:04, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Hiroman60, no worries, and thank you very much for the offer. I am currently busy, but you are welcome to create a new {{unblock}} appeal below, with an example for future edits, or even multiple examples. Please take the time to completely read the guide for appealing blocks before doing so. An independent administrator (probably a checkuser) will review the block based on our discussion and your new request. Best regards, ~ ToBeFree (talk) 20:20, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
