License tagging for Image:Cosmic freeway.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Cosmic freeway.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 06:05, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Katie Freeman requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 19:53, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Katie Freeman has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Andrew Kurish (talk) 23:59, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Kevin Fisher (Musician) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unknown musician with no true references only involved with 2 bands, one of which has an article called into question for lack of notability, and one which has no article.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. • I am trying to do offical work here. If you continue to delete my work with out giving me proper time to correct the issues I will find a way to contact the offices of wikipeadia and report you for improper use of your editing privileges. I'm doing my best.
    • Hm. You see all these messages up there ^ on this very page? That's about as "official" as it gets here, and all these warning signs are addressed to you. So I suggest you take them seriously. Furthermore, could you kindly elaborate in what way your working on these articles is "official"? Thanks. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 03:01, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 03:24, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Hippipimp. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Tgeairn (talk) 03:54, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 03:57, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Clarification

[edit]

It isn't your page. You do not have the right to post on wikipedia. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 04:09, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What are you talking about? I created the Cosmic Free Way wiki page.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Hippipimp (talkcontribs)
That does not make it yours; when you hit "save" you automatically surrender all rights to it. On your second point, your participation here is a privilege, not a right. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 04:45, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
This is true. See WP:OWN and WP:COI. You must abide by both of these, particularly WP:COI, if you don't want to be blocked from editing. You seem to be under a misapprehension about what Wikipedia is. It's an encyclopedia, nothing like Facebook or Myspace. See WP:Notability (music) also to contest the AfD, and WP:VERIFY and WP:RS. Dougweller (talk) 05:06, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Look I understand completely about your privileged point. I'm trying to follow all your rules but your editors are rude and do not give me enough time to fix mistakes. I would like to know who is the conflict IE some one close to the band as you so eloquently pointed out has a problem with my facts. I control all legal rights to Cosmic Free Way. I'm just trying to make the page as factual as possible.

"you have a conflict of interest" is similar to "you have a cough". It doesn't make sense to ask who the cough is. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 05:56, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What's that supposed to mean? That makes no sense.

"I would like to know who is the conflict IE some one close to the band as you so eloquently pointed out has a problem with my facts." < That's what you wrote. You are that someone close to the band, therefore you have a conflict of interest. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 06:08, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

How can I have a conflict of interest with myself? Now your your reaching. So all the money I've donated is for me to be treated this way. WOW!!!!

Have read the link? Or are you just being deliberately dense? Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 07:51, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Let me have one try at explaining this to you. You say that you control all legal rights to the band; you are therefore closely affiliated with it. You cannot therefore be seen to be impartial when writing about it. The dichotomy between partiality/impartiality is in wikipedia defined as conflicy of interest. You have attracted the attention of several admins, including myself, and run a serious risk of being blocked from editing here unless you are able to understand and follow the editing rules which we enforce. And let me reiterate the point made above; creation of an article neither gives you any right to it, nor does it prevent any other editor from modifying it.--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 10:46, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have read your rules on that, so I know I'm right. If you are truly a professional you @ the very least will put the Cosmic Free Way wiki page back up. because it's the proper thing to do. They deserve to be up there. You are violating your own laws. You are worse then infantile Nazi's. and I'm sure the creator of wiki wouldn't appreciate how volunteers are perverting his creation.

I am being ganged up on by bullies that call people names and that are rude. I understand some of they're points and some are very valid and I see that, however they deleted a site that has been up for five years without any issues and now because I've chimed in they want to prove that they in charge, not me. Which proves my point. I've tried to be civil but when you have 3 different people and conversations going on it's extremely hard to keep track of whats being said and for what reason.

Once again. I feel it is unfair to use Godwin against me. I get your point fine, however you have not even taken any of my valid points into consideration. You want an apology for the Godwin analogy, fine. I'm sorry that my statement proved my point. They can call me names like dense and pathetic and attack me personally and inadvertently prove my points but I can't use a simple metaphor. All I ask is if you wanna flame me fine but don't take it out on innocent musicians who worked hard to get where they are at. They deserve validation for their achievements. You have bands up on wiki that don't have much credibility at all. And that's not fare to the ones that do. Please put back up The Cosmic Free Way site. Fine I created it but I don't own as you so Eloquently stated. Do the right thing please and let them have their page.
