Do you think ending a serious, complicated warning with "Have a nice day!" could possibly be interpreted as an expression of passive-aggressive anger? Would "Thank you for your understanding." be more appropriate and less potentially grating on readers? 99.27.202.101 (talk) 15:29, 16 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for making that change. I hope you will consider me a friend who wishes you would improve your editing instead of someone opposed to you on anything more than a remote and relatively obscure set of physics questions. I tried to show you a third way, and I'm sorry I was unable to communicate that effectively. I hope our future interactions will be pleasant. I will try to make them as pleasant as possible while remaining true to principle.
I could tell that was what you were trying to get at when you put your original offer for a third opinion into your warning, and I am sad that you took it out. I wonder if it was because of what happened with me. In any case, I am sorry and I hope I have not discouraged you from asking questions of a third party when you are uncertain.
Another change I might suggest: is "cfwar" and appropriate abbreviation for "cfwarn" -- I know things like this may seem trivial, but please try to see it from my point of view, or a new user's point of view. 99.27.202.101 (talk) 16:45, 16 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This template is to be substituted. If you review Special:WhatLinksHere/User:Hipocrite/cfwar, you'll see that nothing links here. New users will be unable to find it - only people who are watching my contribution history and page back to 15Dec2009 will be able to see it - like you. Yes, I took out my suggestion that I'd provide people warned without outside help because you were pointy about it. I picked a user who I hardly interact with but did respect, and instead of actually asking them for help, instead you showed up at their doorstep and played another round of wiki-kabuki. I'm not going to subject people to that any more. Hipocrite (talk) 16:55, 16 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
How about: "... This is the required warning. If you need more information about how to improve your editing, please feel free to ask for a referral on Wikipedia:Third opinion to a neutral respected editor who can help you out. Thank you for your understanding." as User:Hipocrite/cfwarn? I know your intentions are good and your motives are true. I'm simply concerned with the choice of wording. 99.27.202.101 (talk) 16:58, 16 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
