Hey Hillcountrygrump,

I appreciate your attention to the USAA page. I hope you don't mind that I have gone back and restored a lot of what you deleted, and added more. I've reviewed a number of other companies' wikipedia entries and a lot do include information about competetion, as well as details most people would find tedious. However, I think that people actively searching or browsing Wikipedia for information are actually looking for the small details that aren't found elsewhere, which is why I feel they should be included.

sign edits on talk page please

[edit]

Can you go into Archive 10 at the USAA page and sign your edits? Robert J Koenig is erroneously/deceptively quoting what you've said to try to make it look like I'm a USAA employee. (He vandalized my user page today). I doubt anyone is paying much attention to what he has to say but the less ammunition he has to deceive, the better. WILL DO!!! I'm the employee!!!! Hillcountrygrump 13:26, 28 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

editing archived talk pages

[edit]

Probably you should refrain from adding new comments to archived talk pages like you did on USAA's Archive 10 page because (in theory) no one goes back and looks at them for new issues. See talk page for why i reverted your changes. If you want to edit instead of deleting things wholesale to the way you had them before, that would be fine, but cutting info without somehow including the content in a different (more concise) way is not appropriate. As discussed before, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and thus a high level of detail is appropriate. Swizzlez 17:20, 28 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kind words

[edit]

Thanks for the kind words about my writeup - it's my first Wikipedia page :-) The text you added is reasonable - I tweaked the syntax a bit, but removed the verbiage regarding a San Antonio branch; Navy Federal did not open a branch there in 2006, and (to my knowledge) does not have one there now, either. They did open a branch in Kingsville in 2006 - admittedly a long way from San Antonio, but could that be what you're thinking of? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bobgregg (talkcontribs) 15:17, 29 March 2007 (UTC). Oops, guess I haven't figured out how to sign comments yet - sorry - BobGregg[reply]

Report at WP:AIV

[edit]

I've removed your report to AIV. I think the place you need is Administrators noticeboard (Incidents). Please try to provide diffs for the problems you think needs helping with. LessHeard vanU (talk) 16:55, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
