Reference
Please read the reference. It absolutely in no way makes the claim that it is attached to. The Red Hat of Pat Ferrick t 10:46, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
- I agree that the current wording is incorrect, and I'm in the process of changing that + add another reference. But your wording is also incorrect and is equally unsupported in the claim. --HighKing (talk) 10:51, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
- So don't revert then. Either take it to talk or modify the new wording. The Red Hat of Pat Ferrick t 10:55, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
- True, apologies, I should have made the full change at the one time. --HighKing (talk) 10:56, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion contested: Michael Collins (Irish whiskey)
Hello HighKing, and thanks for your work patrolling new changes. I am just informing you that I contested the speedy deletion of Michael Collins (Irish whiskey) - a page you tagged - because: The article is not unambiguously promotional; please take it to AFD if you feel that the article is not notable enough for inclusion. Please review the criteria for speedy deletion before tagging further pages. If you have any questions or problems, please let me know. NW (Talk) 04:42, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
List of IKEA stores
Hello HighKing. Hope you're well. Just a quick nod to your changes to this article, but I'm concerned that the cut down version gives an inaccurate representation of what is happening. We're now stating that the conditions have forced the opening date to July 27th 2009. However this isn't really true. The store is in fact opening inspite of the conditions set as the interchange will not be finished until next year. It seems to be a case of the NRA turning a blind eye to the situation, which, although we can't directly say that, is quite significant in terms of an opening of an IKEA store. I think it's important to put as much as we can say about this more than bizarre battle of wills between IKEA and the Irish Government. I don't think we can say enough to make this into a seperate IKEA Ireland article, it would almost certainly end up being merged back into this or the main IKEA article. Maybe this article should contain a brief list and more in depth summaries below it adding more about the history of IKEA in each country. I believe this is an option already discussed in the article's discussion page, but has never been acted upon. I'd be interested to hear your views however. ~~ Peteb16 (talk) 14:02, 10 July 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Pete. Putting all that detail into a list article isn't the place. Personally, I don't believe it's all that notable and that it shouldn't go into any article. The sheer size of superstores, like IKEA, have been objected to in the past in numerous countries, and it's not unusual for planning applications for large stores in Ireland to have lots of conditions including traffic management (for example, Dundrum shopping centre). If this were a peculiar or unorthrodox case it'd be more notable and even then, is it notable enough for a list article? If it's notable, it would qualify for it's own article. Whatcha think? --HighKing (talk) 14:10, 10 July 2009 (UTC)
- Agreed. Maybe I'm biased cos I've worked there during its construction. It just seems significant from my point of view. I didn't know this had happened before in Ireland. I thought this case was unique in the fact that it's the biggest retail outlet ever to be built in Ireland so far and as such has already had laws changed to allow its construction and now it appears just ignoring the rules altogether. It says a lot about what IKEA means to a country. ~~ Peteb16 (talk) 17:50, 10 July 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks Pete. You know, an article on IKEA Ireland might not be a bad idea if you believe there's enough for an entire article though - I mean, Dundrum shopping centre has an article, as does Nutgrove... --HighKing (talk) 17:34, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

British Isles
Once again, you are far to quick to revert, HighKing. The sources do not make the same claims that the article makes. In fact, the sources make no claims whatsoever. This is original research and unless you can show otherwise, must be removed from the article. The Red Hat of Pat Ferrick t 14:49, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
- I'm a little fed-up of the trigger-happy ad hominem attacks that appear to form part of the regular palette of interaction by some editors. Please WP:AGF in future. --HighKing (talk) 14:52, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
- He mentioned your editing practice, the content of a source, and described original research. I don't see any ad hominem attack. Chillum 14:54, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, I fail to see where I have made any form of statement about you personally, HighKing, other than relating to your contributions (reverting within seconds without having contributed to the discussion)? The Red Hat of Pat Ferrick t 15:03, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
- The comment HighKing has just reverted, without even so much as bothering to explain on the talk page how it is not OR. The part about "without so much as bothering to explain" is a personal attack. Trying to pass it off as a comment on my editing practice is disingenuous at the very least. As to your "reverting within seconds" comment, that is also rich. In fact, had you waited for an explanation on the Talk page for at least the same amount of time as I waited before reverting, we wouldn't even be having the discussion. Next time, I suggest you think a little more carefully about how you phrase your disagreements. Lastly, Chillum, why are you getting involved at all? Given the history between us, I'd ask that you keep away and do not post to my Talk page in future. --HighKing (talk) 15:13, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
- HighKing. I encourage you to post on the Wikiquette noticeboard if you think that anything I have said constitutes a personal attack. The Red Hat of Pat Ferrick t 15:21, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
- As you are free to post there if you believe anything I've said is untrue. I tend to view the noticeboards as places to post persistent abusers. Sometimes it's better to AGF and assume a simple reminder to policy will suffice. --HighKing (talk) 15:40, 19 July 2009 (UTC) HighKing (talk) 19:14, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

List of position statements
In case you missed it, I've edited the Position statements page in line with what you said about Rannpháirtí anaithnid. The original summary was my fault. I wanted to do a mock-up of the page for discussion and didn't read the statement thoroughly first. Scolaire (talk) 12:26, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
Chat about the weather..
... or surely whatever you'd like to discuss, here. If you're going to wholescale revert expansions of articles, its probably best to write on the talk first, specifically what you want. Thanks. - Yorkshirian (talk) 12:54, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
- Looks like we missed each other on the Talk page. --HighKing (talk) 12:57, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
