How would I go about verifying my Awards section?
Also, can you give me an idea of a sentence I included that is not neutral and maybe an example of how to make it neutral?

Hi, as you used the {{helpme}} template this flags up for attention generally, if you would prefer additional feedback from Drmies then the best way is to drop a note on User talk:Drmies. I took a moment to look through your draft and I hope these comments are useful:
- For this article the awards are a simple way of demonstrating notability and consequently quite an important section to verify. I suggest you add footnotes to as many as you can that are mentioned in reliable sources, an example source is http://www.billboard.com/artist/jose-luis-orozco/bio/251586#/artist/jose-luis-orozco/bio/251586 where a few awards are listed. I normally try the freely available Google Books and Google News as first ports of call when searching for reliable sources. In this case I can see that this Google News search looks as though a few of the newspaper articles could be useful reliable sources. If you happen to have any magazine articles about him, these could be very useful citations as well even if they are not available on-line.
- With regards to neutrality, the text seems quite reasonably neutral to my eyes. A minor suggestion would be to change "Orozco is a featured speaker and presenter" to just "Orozco is a speaker and presenter" as any speaker could claim to be featured.
- The long list of where he has presented seems overly trivial - perhaps you could select some significant examples or just remove the section altogether.
- Lastly, I noticed two problematic sources which should be removed - answers.com is not considered a reliable source (it is an uncontrolled forum) and Wikipedia itself cannot be used as a reliable source as any open wiki is subject to change and the referenced article may become irrelevant or incorrect.
In general the article looks good to go live. If you would like a final review before issuing it, I suggest leaving a note at WP:Requests for feedback, though this is not a mandatory step.

However, the article needs more work anyway. It needs to be wikified, for one. Second of all, there are non-encyclopedic contents in there, such as the sentence "It was from his tour around the world that he gained the cultural knowledge he now shares with children through his books and recordings." This is a statement that can't be verified. If he outright said that he gained the knowledge from the tour, then reword it to say this and cite a source. Furthermore, the list of songs is quite lengthy. Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. Also, you have external links in the article (such as to the National Hispanic University). External links should not be used in the article space, but rather in an external links section. And finally, perhaps using the citation templates will help you format your sitations. Try reading WP:Writing better articles. It has a lot of good tips. Good luck! - At the moment, large chunks of that draft have no reference - e.g. all of "Personal life" and most of "Career". Therefore, those facts are not verifiable. If they cannot be verified through a reliable source, they should be removed. Same for 'awards' - either supply a reference, or remove the unreferenced ones.
Awards
- References for all facts are always important, but they are especially important for a biography of a living person. Chzz ► 05:10, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
- Hi HH, a word of encouragement. I think this is a valid article and worth pursuing. Taking on board the comments you have received, it might be worth stripping the article back to those paragraphs that are well supported by sources and consider re-adding other areas after the article is live and when you find reliable sources to support them. Would it suffice to use this as the reference for the entire section? Incidently, I have already listed a few different references, but I do not have a separate reference for every single award. - It might be OK in that case (as a general, second reference), but you already use his website in a few other places as a reference. We want to stay away from relying too much on his own website (which is a primary source; we want more independent, secondary sources), so I guess it's OK for the awards, but try not to use it too much throughout the article. —fetch·comms 03:01, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Change Name of Article
{{helpme}} I just moved the content from my sandbox page and created a page called Jose-Luis Orozco. However, when I went to search for it without the hyphen, it did not come up. Photo of Jose Luis Orozco - Question?
I would like to use the photo of Jose Luis Orozco from the link/page below on the wiki page i created about Jose Luis Orozco.

Would this be considered a free photo? What steps would I need to take to put in on article.

- Sorry, but we can only use a picture that clearly states it is 'free' (ie an appropriate licence). You could consider writing to that website, and seeking permission; that is one of the options explained in Wikipedia:Finding images tutorial. Chzz ► 03:09, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

{{helpme}} I am going to ask the owners of the Jose Luis Orozco website if they will allow me to use a photo of Jose Luis on the wiki page I created. I am going to suggest that they license the photo under Attribution Non-Commercial No Derivatives cc by-nc-nd . If they agree with this, do I send them a Microsoft Word copy of the license from the Creative Commons website http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/legalcode ? Do I add in a place for their name and date at bottom of the license? Then, how do I upload the license on Creative Commons. Sorry, for all the questions. - Wikipedia can only accept CC-BY-SA or CC-BY. Not CC-BY-ND or CC-BY-NC or CC-BY-NC-ND or any other CC license. You do not need to send them a copy of the whole license, just make sure they understand the terms. After they complete the license agreement mentioned above, who do they email it to? If they email it to me, then what do I do with it? I would imagine I need to upload it on the wikipedia site somehow when I upload the photo image. Thanks,

- Yes that is an email address replace AT with @ and DOT with . also it is asking for the URL of the file (and of the page your putting it on -- would help) as it is on Wiki (since you are uploading it before you email), or that is my understanding. --Wolfnix • Talk • 02:27, 14 September 2010 (UTC)

- (e/c) Yes it's an email address. It's a way of writing it so it doesn't get scraped by spam bots and the like, but it just istands for permissions-en@wikimedia.org The URL is the web address of the image—here the address of the image at the Jose Luis Orozco website. I have just uploaded the photo of Jose Luis Orozco onto this page http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/File:Jos%C3%A9-Luis_Orozco_playing_guitar_by_tree.JPG . My next step will be to try to upload it to the page http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Jos%C3%A9-Luis_Orozco . - OK. I have noted on File:José-Luis Orozco playing guitar by tree.JPG that you've sent the email; that should be fine. Eventually, the email will be processed and checked, and a confirmation 'ticket number' added, but in the meantime, it is fine to use it.

Accent
Hi there. Re. Removed accent over e in Jose to make it easier to search - that is not necessary; instead, we use a redirect.
The page name should be the persons correct name, so we've moved it back to José-Luis Orozco.
Jose Luis Orozco will still work, and indeed feel free to make other appropriate redirects if you wish; that page contains just one line; #REDIRECT [[José-Luis Orozco]]
