I agree completely, and that's actually part of the plan for this bot. User:HersfoldArbClerkBot/Length header is a template that will display like this (example data from Martin Hogbin's section in Tree shaping):

Current word length: 899 (limit: 500); diff count: 32. Evidence is too long: please reduce your submission so it fits within limits.

Very good :) As you say, the more we can do to depersonalise this and make it a routine notification the better. This is likely to have a much greater overall impact which much less drama than clerk messages on talk pages.  Roger Davies talk 21:10, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
