Lake Berryessa

[edit]

https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Lake_Berryessa

Hello Wikipedians, I am planning to edit this page on Lake Berryessa for my Wikipedia assignment at Sac State.

A rough outline of some of the things I plan to edit:

Hydrology- other tributaries, flood control, water cleaning events

Recreation- marinas, camping opportunities, fishing(tourneys), Knoxville Wildlife, Land Management

History-Artifacts, Native Americans. Her93 (talk) 21:21, 9 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Outline feedback

[edit]

Hi Tong,

As we talked about, you'll need to expand this quite a bit. A good place to start will be with Solano Irrigation District's online materials, including the Agricultural Water Management Plan. Also the US Bureau of Reclamation has a page on the history of the "Solano Project." I'd suggest first getting a sense of some of the major issues and then working on your outline a bit more before digging too deeply into the materials for your research. Let me know if you want me to take another look at your outline.

Also, you should be putting your outline on the Lake Berryessa talk page since it's an existing article.

Draft Feedback

[edit]

Tong,

The Information is coming together in your talk page about the Lake Berryessa Article. I especially appreciate your addition to existing contents within the article. Another key portion of your additions will relate to the management of the lake and its resources. I would recommend elaborating on the concessionary lands and displacement of those people in the areas surrounding the lake.

As the lead section is fairly developed, you have some potential contributions to the balance of the page. Filling the gaps concerning the history of the land and who has managed the waterway thus far can be explored as well. Your sources are strong and relate well to the current layout of the article. I would recommend looking into a few of the sites Mr. Fulton mentioned about as supporting sources for water management and agriculture.

You are on your way to a strong contribution, a few tweaks here and there and you will have made this article that much more relative to our current status with recreational lakes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cassiuscamus (talkcontribs) 07:47, 20 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
