Assess : newly added and existing articles, maybe nominate some good B-class articles for GA; independently assess some as A-class, regardless of GA status.
Cleanup : * Sport governing body (this should-be-major article is in a shameful state) * Field hockey (History section needs sources and accurate information - very vague at the moment.) * Standardize Category:American college sports infobox templates to use same font size and spacing. * Sport in the United Kingdom - the Popularity section is incorrect and unsourced. Reliable data is required.
* Fix project template and/or "to do list" Current version causes tables of content to be hidden unless/until reader chooses "show."
I think the artickle shouldn't been deleted, becaus Luja has been in Suomi-sarja for many seasons and it's not quite small sports club in Finland for because it has 1,000 members. --HenriHa (talk) 09:33, 15 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Moi @HenriHa: sports clubs are not inherently notable, even at the top level (which Suomi-sarja obviously isn't), so you need to establish notability per WP:GNG. This requires significant coverage in multiple independent and reliable secondary sources, specifically of the club itself, not just routine reporting of their participation in sporting events etc. I note that you've added several references since I first saw and PRODded this, but they're all primary, and all but one cite the club's own website, none of which unfortunately contributes towards notability. One source is secondary MyHuittinen and I'm pretty sure I can find atleast three independent secondary sources in one week time even if MyHuittinen isn't counted. --HenriHa (talk) 09:55, 15 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It's debatable whether MyHuittinen as a source is primary or secondary (I'd say the former), but the article you cite appears to have been written by the club's chairperson, and that certainly makes it not just primary but also non-independent.
Yes, there are now two, possibly three, independent secondary sources, but they don't really provide significant coverage of the club; they're just routine business reporting, and (with the notable exception of the Yle piece) they're also hyperlocal in nature.
