Your addition to World Crime League

[edit]

I have removed the text you added to World Crime League about the Washington, D.C. dining group. This was added previously and then moved to its own page, as it does not relate to the topic of the article, it only shares a name with it. That newly created article was deleted because it lacked Notability and it also lacked citations to back up the existence of such a group. If you want this content to survive on Wikipedia, I suggest you create a new page for it with a unique name (e.g. "World crime league (dining group)") and add the text there. If you can cite some sources that attest to the existence of this group, please include them. Please review what Wikipedia is not as well, before considering adding this topic.

For your reference, here is the removed text:

World Crime League, The - Elite dining group that operated in the Washington, D.C. area from the late 1980's through 2002. Members included restaurant employees, journalists, capitol hill staffers, criminals, law enforcement personnel, environmental safety people and broadcasters.

And, per your email, "some group" was not intended as rude, but since I knew nothing of the group and could find nothing online, that's all I could say about it. You can WP:Assume good faith with my edits.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Ehrenberg (surname) may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Ehrenberg (surname), disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Dennis Bratland (talk) 18:54, 20 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you.
