Hello, Heikkikoskinen,

Please do not tag any more pages for deletion until you gain more experience as an editor. Three days is not enough time to understand the Criteria for Speedy Deletion, where they each apply and when it is appropriate to tag pages. Please improve existing articles before going into maintenance areas of the project. If this isn't your first account on Wikipedia, please disclose your previous accounts on your main User page.

If you have questions about editing on Wikipedia, please bring them to the Teahouse where more experienced editors can offer you advice and support. Than you. Liz Read! Talk! 19:46, 18 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Okey, As a new one, I thought that it can be marked, because it had already been discussed. Please, see this: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/ROCK_Linux --Heikkikoskinen (talk) 20:15, 18 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Gnome does not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! –Ctrlwiki (talk) 02:57, 19 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Okey, thanks! --Heikkikoskinen (talk) 04:53, 19 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, Heikkikoskinen. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Linux distribution, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Ahunt (talk) 14:19, 21 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I have to keep that in mind. I’m not connected to anything I write about, but I write about things I’m interested in. --Heikkikoskinen (talk) 20:02, 21 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Fedora Linux indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. Liz Read! Talk! 04:08, 22 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It’s useless because we have a Fedora Project category.--Heikkikoskinen (talk) 10:54, 22 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:55, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
