Hurtily

[edit]

Some people get so hurt/disturbed by the things that I say that they delete all my messages from the talkpage/discussion group pages. *Ouch!* Need some medication? Leave me a message here. PS: I won't delete it. Heartily (talk) 06:47, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

December 2020

[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Four Year Undergraduate Programme protests, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. The WP:DAILYMAIL is not a usable source in Wikipedia; if all you have is the Daily Mail, you don't have a reliable source for Wikipedia. Please review WP:DEPS, as well as WP:RS. David Gerard (talk) 10:30, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The problem with your revert was not your removal of the unreliable source but of letting all other valid updates/changes get deleted for no reason. Heartily (talk) 10:36, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Jawaharlal Nehru University. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. RegentsPark (comment) 23:02, 12 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Mumbai Mirror, you may be blocked from editing. Tayi Arajakate Talk 06:39, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

All edits were made in consensus on the talkpage of Mumbai Mirror, Tayi Arajakate. Please see. The edits you actually reverted were that of another user's. It is ridiculous that you should leave this warning on my page when the edits in question were not even mine but another person's who we had arrived at a consensus with. Heartily (talk) 07:56, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Mumbai Mirror. Tayi Arajakate Talk 10:13, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi Heartily! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Mumbai Mirror that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. this is definitely not a minor edit. Be careful! RegentsPark (comment) 14:32, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Linguistics, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Morphology and Variation. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 07:06, 5 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, DPL bot, thanks for pointing it out. Has it been rectified? I'll change it if needed and link it to the right pages. Heartily (talk) 14:04, 5 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Four Year Undergraduate Programme protests

[edit]

Hi. Contested moves should go through the RM process (see WP:RM. Since your previous move was reverted, the move is a contested one and you should open a RM request rather than unilaterally moving the article. Best wishes. --RegentsPark (comment) 23:08, 12 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

RegentsPark, the move was not contested. This is a news article and the issue can no longer be defined as a protest. The name of the article has to change. The initial page which I had created some years ago was also "FYUP Row" itself. It was changed later by someone without them asking either, and there isn't exactly a community on the talkpage of a small article such as this one. The title of the page is currently wrong as the protests are over. Please do not keep reverting. Heartily (talk) 23:25, 12 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Your initial move was undone by @David Gerard:. When that happens, whatever the logic of the move or visibility of the article, you need to open a RM discussion. If no one objects, the article will be moved. --RegentsPark (comment) 01:19, 13 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I will go into this in some time and do the RM. Give me a few days as I am caught up right now. Heartily (talk) 08:02, 14 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Opinions and Disruptive Edits

[edit]

Please don’t do opinionated edits on Jawaharlal Nehru University and Mumbai Mirror. Read WP:NOTOPINION before editing. defcon5 (talk) 16:29, 16 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

How was the JNU news update I added an opinion? It is reported in the press. So is it on Mumbai Error. Heartily (talk) 16:45, 16 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Mumbai Mirror*, I meant! Heartily (talk) 16:50, 16 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
All publications have their political leanings mentioned on their Wiki page. There is also an Infobox tag for political leanings. So why can't Mirror's leanings and JNU's leanings be described? See Daily Mail, OpIndia, Republic TV. Heartily (talk) 17:00, 16 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

ARBIPA sanctions alert

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

This alert means that you are responsible for following all the applicable Wikipedia policies. You also need to follow up on the policies when you are referred to them. Failure to do so may lead to sanctions. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 15:08, 19 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. Tayi Arajakate Talk 08:57, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The only participants in your 'discussion' included you, Tayi Arajakate, but I responded in order to be nice. :) Heartily (talk) 09:51, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing indefinitely for edit warring and POV pushing, such that it seems you are not here to build an encyclopedia. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Cyphoidbomb (talk) 13:27, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
