Teahouse follow-up

[edit]

Hey, Healthnet, and welcome to Wikipedia! I've removed your posts to the Teahouse, more for space reasons than anything else, but please feel free to continue your question here. You can make a shorter question at the Teahouse and include a link back here, if you like, but the Teahouse isn't really set up to resolve content disputes. I'd recommend taking a look at the dispute resolution methods we have, particularly the dispute resolution noticeboard; you'll probably get more useful feedback from there about your content issues. Thanks! :) Writ Keeper 21:04, 15 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You should read Talk in Circumcision and see if you think supervision by a neutral Steward is needed. I don't know how to make a link.Healthnet11 (talk) 21:06, 15 March 2012 (UTC) Bottom line, Circumcision is propaganda. Looked like there's a constant dispute in the topic and resolution noticeboard, so is it hopeless?Healthnet11 (talk) 21:08, 15 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Just fyi, I have moved the content you posted on the Teahouse and my talk page to a subpage in your own userspace. You can get to it through this link: User:Healthnet11/dispute. To post a link like this, you can type out: [[User:Healthnet11/dispute]]. I'm not gonna comment on the dispute itself right now; I don't really have time to sift through all that stuff you posted at the moment, to be honest, and I don't want to say antyhing before I understand what the conflict is. Maybe later today. Thanks! Writ Keeper 21:22, 15 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thank You. This is all so complicated.Healthnet11 (talk) 21:24, 15 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You hit the nail on the head, Healthnet. 66.81.46.215 (talk) 20:06, 16 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

One thing you may want to read before you spend a lot of time which may end up simply hitting your head against the wall is Wikipedia is not the place to try to Right great Wrongs. If that is what you are here to try and do, you will probably not last long and not have a very good time while you are here. -- The Red Pen of Doom 21:10, 16 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

But Wikipedia having Stewards, Administrators, and Editors with severe conflicts of interest is the great wrong.Healthnet11 (talk) 21:20, 16 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I think, what you think is that somehow you can use Wikipedia to affect "Bottom line, Circumcision is propaganda." and the fact is that you wont be able to. and if you continue to try, you will meet headwinds at every turn that from your perspective might appear to be "Stewards, Administrators, and Editors with severe conflicts of interest " and other problems after other problems that keep you from your goal on Wikipedia. but, it is actually your goal of using wikipedia which is the problem. -- The Red Pen of Doom 21:55, 16 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The circumcision debate is a massive ongoing one, both on and off Wikipedia. However, as in all these matters, we attempt to be neutral - those who push either side of the argument beyond a certain point will eventually find themselves topic-banned. You will find most of the information you cited, is in the relevant articles, albeit not in the lead. If there is additional research then it can be introduced, I suggest on the talk page, since the current articles are the result of extensive co-operative editing.
