Speedy deletion nomination of Health Security Express
[edit]A tag has been placed on Health Security Express, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. How can I appeal my block? What if I change my username? I only picked that because I was one of the riders back in 1994 - it wasn't making a statement, it's something that actually happened in history. Sorry. HealthSecurityExpressBusTourRider (talk) 19:01, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
ARGH! Can somebody PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE Help? I am NOT computer savvy - and I've read all the stuff on wikipedia -and I still don't "get it". Have mercy on us older non-tech people! I'm just trying to add a page that explains what the Health Security Express Bus Tour was that happened 16 years ago. It was an even that happened in history like the fall of the Berlin wall. It doesn't need to be anything fancy - but it was something notable that people did and deserves at least a paragraph here so that 12 years olds doing home work (and who weren't around back that :-) ) can read what it was. That all. I'm not trying to cause offense - I'm just a technophobe who isn't a computer wiz. thanks HealthSecurityExpressBusTourRider (talk) 19:12, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
- Hello, the instructions for the formal appeal were in the box above, bu it sounds like you have made some kind of unblock request. I have unblocked you, but the intention was for you to have a username that represents you, so you are still welcome to change your username. For your proposed article I think you need to find some newspaper or magazine stories on the topic. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 21:03, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
Thank you Graeme. This is all very difficult, but I'm trying to do the best I can. I did list 3 sources at the bottom of the article of the Health Security Express. 1. was an actual "live" video of the August 3rd event on the White House south Lawn with people wearing t-shirts that say "Health Security Express" and 2 buses in on the South lawn with signs saying the same thing. Thought a C-Span video with the President of the United States would be a good enough source lol! But I also included a link to a book writen about the event on amazon as well as my 3rd link which shows you what comes up when you do a google search. Would that be good enough? Let me know. Also, how do I change my user name? I'll just change it to something like 'BusRider'. Please let me know how to change my user name (I hope it's easy!) If's complicated - you have my permission to change it for me - I was just trying to identify my part, not cause a stir. Thanks for your help and patients with us old foagies who are not as adept to the computer. Cheers! HealthSecurityExpressBusTourRider (talk) 21:42, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
- All you have to do is click on this: Special:UserLogin/signup and change the username to something new of your choice, and put in your new password in the boxes. Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Health Security Express is the place to add your new references. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 10:38, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
Thanks Graeme. I Keep doing what everyone is telling me to do - but My paragraph keeps getting declined. I thought wikipedia was supposed to be non-partisan. Why does it seem like everybody wants to pretend the event I was to document never happened? Everytime I do what I'm told - someone gives me some other reason why "Your article has been rejected". I provide legit 3rd party evidence this happened, then someone declines it and tells me it's insignificant. I write back why it's NOT INSIGNIFICANT and the guys who declined it is on vacation.... Graeme - can you please help. Thanks love!

I'm so confused. I don't know what you guys want for me to get a page written about the Health Secuirty Express Bus Tour that happened back in 1994. I provided 2 unbiased 3rd party sources, I explained why it was significant, I even requested you to change my name because you said it was controvertial. listen, I'm an old foagie who isn't a computer whiz like you youngsters are. I am trying to follow your requests as I understand them and as best as I can for someone with my limited computer knowledge. It's amazing I've even made it this far! I know you are all busy, but can someone help and I can be out of everyone's hair forever. Thank you in advance, your old foagie friend HealthSecurityExpressBusTourRider (talk) 23:03, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
- I think you want sources like this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, and this. You want a lot more than two sources, and if you don't want to write this article, I am willing to work on it for you. /ƒETCHCOMMS/ 03:37, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH ƒETCHCOMMS! I am ever so grateful! I'll go find a few more sources for you and post them here. I've got the actual C-SPAN video of the event, there's another video of "The Health Security Express" from when they started off, and a few other things when I googled it. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! A Million times Thank you! Wow! ƒETCHCOMMS, I am very, very, impressed! Where did you find these articles? Even I couldn't find these! By the way, in the article: http://news.google.com/newspapers?id=3dogAAAAIBAJ&sjid=T2sFAAAAIBAJ&pg=1202,2224840&dq=health-security-express&hl=en Mr. Dan Lunley from Seattle/Portland portion of the tour, was one of the 3 speakers at the event on the White House south Lawn that happened on Aug 3, 1994 talking about the motor cycle accident that left him without a leg and an arm and forever uninsurable. You'll see in on that C-SPAN video I posted. He's the first speakers after Hilary Clinton introduces him. once again, THANK YOU! ƒETCHCOMMS, You are AMAZING!HealthSecurityExpressBusTourRider (talk) 02:32, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
Also, there are some great photos from this archived news article from the Boston Globe with Ted Kennedy and the singer from Peter, Paul and Mary: http://pqasb.pqarchiver.com/boston/access/61994737.html?dids=61994737:61994737&FMT=ABS&FMTS=ABS:FT&type=current&date=Aug+01%2C+1994&author=Jill+Zuckman%2C+Globe+Staff&pub=Boston+Globe+(pre-1997+Fulltext)&desc=Hillary+Clinton%2C+in+Boston%2C+appeals+for+health+reform&pqatl=google
I don't know how to get the original article with the photos, but they would be great to post. Thank you again HealthSecurityExpressBusTourRider (talk) 03:05, 30 October 2010 (UTC)

HELP!!!! I don't know what to do! HealthSecurityExpressBusTourRider (talk) 22:58, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
- Nothing. They were asking you a question if you wanted allcaps - (http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Changing_username/Simple&oldid=392637309#HealthSecurityExpressBusTourRider_.E2.86.92_BUSRIDER), since you didn't reply, they made their own minds up and changed your User Name to BusRider Ronhjones (Talk) 00:48, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
oh, ok. That's fine. I don't mind all caps or non-caps. Thank you for changing it. Cheers! HealthSecurityExpressBusTourRider (talk) 03:13, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
Health Security Express
[edit]Hello, and thanks for your contributions. I've merged Health Security Express, which you created, to History of health care reform in the United States, which is a better place for it. As you've seen the Article For Creation submission was turned down on the grounds of notability, but the content is definitely worth adding to that existing article. Thanks, Top Jim (talk) 00:52, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
- Hi BusRider--don't be discouraged. Personally, I think the article has been covered in enough sources to be notable, so I'll see if I can rewrite it and make it a separate article again soon. Cheers, /ƒETCHCOMMS/ 03:53, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
Dear /ƒETCHCOMMS, YOU ROCK! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I hope I can make this up to you! A Million Thanks! Hope you had a Happy Halloween! -BusRider HealthSecurityExpressBusTourRider (talk) 23:08, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
Signature
[edit]Your signature seems to be fixed to your old user name. I assume you have customised it - could you please change it to your new user name, Thank You. The redirect from your old name will not survive indefinitely. Ronhjones (Talk) 23:40, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- Ron, I think it was a botched rename. /ƒETCHCOMMS/ 00:46, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
