DAB Solver

How do feel about building another DAB solver? The one we had before was really helpful for a number of years. It seems you have the ability to write such a program. --- Steve Quinn (talk) 11:44, 23 December 2014 (UTC)

I'm actually not that great a programmer. Give me a month and I'm sure I could whip out something, but with work being crazy (gotta prepare next semester's lab manuals for 3 classes, write an article, get another one published), I sadly don't have a month to spare on it. Other people (perhaps at WP:BOTREQ) could be of help. That or put pressure on User:Dispenser to abide by WMF terms, although I'm not sure where that situation is at right now. Try http://dispenser.homenet.org/~dispenser/view/Dab_solver It a bit hard to abide by WMF's terms when they just make up new ones and ban me even if I do what I'm told. And still waiting to hear back from wmf-legal. Dispenser 03:14, 25 December 2014 (UTC)
Headbomb, I completely understand, and I am glad to hear that your credentials are bringing you challenging projects. I will seek out other sources. It did occur to me to make a request at WP:BOTREQ while waiting for your reply. Good luck. And thanks for taking the time to reply. --- Steve Quinn (talk) 04:25, 30 December 2014 (UTC)
  • Dispenser - I didn't know this was still functioning. I am confused, but - oh well! I'll put it to good use.
The motivation for this post is - I noticed there are no longer links from my talk page to a Dab Solver for the articles that have words that need to be disambiguated. If you look at the last "Disambiguation" message on my talk page you will see what I mean. Therein lies the confusion. --- Steve Quinn (talk) 04:34, 30 December 2014 (UTC)
