Wikipedia does not use official names. It uses WP:COMMONNAME agreed by consensus of editors. Try using Wikipedia:Requested_moves#Requesting_a_single_page_move Ronhjones  (Talk) 19:38, 31 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Treaty of Küçük Kaynarca

[edit]

Treaty of Küçük Kaynarca is the WP:COMMONNAME do not move the page unilaterally without discussion. See WP:RM on how to do it properly. --DBigXray 10:37, 7 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Please research the subjects you write on more carefully; Durbalı Tekke‎ is not in Farsala, nor is it (obviously) shown in the image you added. Also, please do not introduce WP:OR in articles, as you did when adding stuff about the 1923 population exchange and the Cham Albanians, that were completely unrelated to the topic.

Furthermore, in order to translate from the Greek WP or any other language, you should actually know that language. The two articles on the mosques in Komotini were riddled with misunderstandings. Google Translate is not a substitute for WP:COMPETENCE in translation. Constantine 12:35, 10 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Same thing now with Turahan: "Turakhan Beg" is used in EI because that work has adopted an Arabo-Persic transcription style. The form "Turahan Bey" is amply attested and used in scholarship. If you don't know for certain, either leave it alone or begin a discussion. Other users should not have to clean up after you. Constantine 12:38, 10 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

Dear Hayodzazgi, yes, I will certainly take a look at those articles. I happened to have left over from a graduate paper I once wrote on Egypt in the Cold War in the 1950s an article about Naguib's brief time as president, which has a lot of information on him, and which I just need to find.:) Nagiub has been massively overshadowed by Nasser, so it is hard to find good information on him; usually he is mentioned in passing as the guy who was the president before Nasser. For the revolution, I need to get back to the library, which probably be until next week.:( At present, the article on the 1952 revolution is a little weak on the actual coup itself, which was more of a close run thing than what the article might suggest. It is probably use some discussion of the social-economic system in Egypt with its domination by the land-owning Turco-Circassian aristocracy left over from the Ottoman empire. Thank you for honoring me and I hope all is well with you. Cheers!--A.S. Brown (talk) 08:34, 14 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop duplicating this article! If you feel that the name should be changed, start a discussion at Talk:Aboud El Zomor. Further reverts are disruptive and will be reported. --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 13:21, 16 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Page move edits

[edit]

I've noticed you have made a few pagemove edits on Albanian related articles. Some are constructive edits, others you should open a pagemove discussion as it can be interpreted as disruptive editing. Thank you.Resnjari (talk) 19:25, 30 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I concur. Please review talk history for earlier move discussions before moving pages and if you do move a page, please udpate article body to reflect the move. You just reinstated without discussion a move to Sheikh ul-Islam that was recently disputed and reverted by an admin. Potentially contentious moves should be made by consensus via WP:RM Thanks. Eperoton (talk) 20:22, 1 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Resnjari and Eperoton: The account was a sock. Cheers, Ktrimi991 (talk) 16:23, 2 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the heads up. Much appreciated. Best.Resnjari (talk) 17:25, 2 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Eperoton, I have reverted Sheikh ul-Islam . Are there any other moves that needs to be reverted ? --DBigXray 04:33, 3 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, DBigXray. That was the only one on my watch list. Resnjari may be aware of others. Eperoton (talk) 04:35, 3 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Resnjari and Eperoton:, As discussed here in this thread and at WP:RMT. see here. His page moves have been reverted per WP:BMB and WP:SOCKSTRIKE. If you would like something more to be done or undone. Please post at WP:RMT--DBigXray 14:25, 5 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@DBigXray:, thankyou for the assistance. Much appreciated. @Hayodzazgi, under their other sock accounts have moved heaps of articles. I'm in the process of making a list on articles at least related to the Albanian wikiproject that have had that kind of disruption. Do all of them have to be done one by one (there is too many) through a WP:RMT or can i just go to a editor or admin that deals with that kind of thing and they revert the changes the sock has made? Best.Resnjari (talk) 15:15, 5 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Resnjari at RMT, You can post both individual article move revert request or link to some kind of list (i.e. User Contribution history/ User Page moves, or another list somewhere that you have prepared) just remember to give reference about this existing thread so that Folks like me at RMT understand where your request is coming from. In case of Hayodzazgi, 3 of us (myself, User:Flooded with them hundreds and User:Sam Sailor) basically nuked almost all of his contributions/page moves. Other than requesting the reverts, If applicable you can also create a WP:LTA if this is a long term problem, so that admins can take swift action before he does lot of damage. --DBigXray 15:35, 5 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@DBigXray:, thank you for the advice. Will do. Best.Resnjari (talk) 15:59, 5 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
