Article Vetting

[edit]

Here are my thoughts on the 5 articles you chose, Ben:

Abandoned Mine: - This seems like a great choice, because there are significant gaps in content and re: purpose. It also doesn't seem like particularly active page.

Abyssal zone: - I don't think this would be a good fit, in part because the editing history shows that edits are frequently reverted by specific users.

Antarctic: - This could work well, since some sections are list-heavy and could use more content. The editing page seems active, but not aggressively so.

Mariana Trench: - This is another good choice, since it looks like it's in need updating.

Fall of the House of Usher: - This one also seems to be patrolled pretty actively, and the quality is higher, so I would suggest avoiding unless you have a specific plan.

Overall: I would recommend going with Abandoned Mine, plus Antarctic or Mariana Trench for this project. Happy to chat about any of these articles further if you like. Spike Mugiwara (talk) 17:11, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Spike Mugiwara: Actually, I would really much enjoy editing The Fall of the House of Usher. I just recently read this story, and I was surprised that its article page wasn't as detailed as I expected it to be. The talk page has a lot of info, and there have been some recent edits, but it does not seem to be particularly active. It's a high-importance article too, which is understandable given the significance of Poe's work. Haunted by a ghoti (talk) 19:21, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

In that case, feel free to have at this article. A fresh read and excitement for the subject will make things easier. Spike Mugiwara (talk) 19:52, 22 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
