Your account has been blocked indefinitely because your username is a clear violation of Wikipedia's username policy – it is obviously offensive, profane, violent, threatening, sexually explicit, disruptive, attacks or impersonates another person, or suggests that you do not intend to contribute positively to Wikipedia. Please see our blocking and username policies for more information.

We invite everyone to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, but users are not allowed to edit with accounts that have inappropriate usernames, and we do not tolerate 'bad faith' editing such as trolling or other disruptive behavior. If you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, or would otherwise like to explain why you should be unblocked, you are welcome to appeal this block – read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the following text to the bottom of your user talk page: {{unblock-un|new username|your reason here ~~~~}} signed, Rosguill talk 17:35, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Request reason:

My username was attacked by a Wikipedia editor @Rosguill. I had no idea at the time of creating it, that it would be so offensive. The username tencerpr was originally created in 2007 and has no current bearing on my identification of what I do or who I am. The only reason I kept the same username this long was for sentimental reasons. To correct this issue I have also requested a change of username. I am requesting to be unblocked. Tencerpr (talk) 18:52, 16 May 2024 (UTC)

Decline reason:

You're not going to be unblocked to edit about Grant. Please make a new request without alleging others of "attacking" your username and detail what you plan to edit about. Star Mississippi 01:16, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Unblocking hatwaring would allow me to contribute to future articles on Wikipedia. If I edited an article only to be told there is zero notibibilty, when there was seven feature articles citations from well known publications (magazines). The Wikipedia editor challenged the featured article size and scope, challenged the periodical as legitimate, challenged me as legitimate. My understanding is this editor was scrutinizing in a way that looks suspicious to the motives for disapproval. @Star Mississippi stating “you’re not going to be unblocked to edit about Grant” is disrespectful and you should not be telling an editor what he can and cannot edit. I’m trying to figure out why I’m being bullied. I believe in the golden rule. Hatwaring (talk) 01:40, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You're not being bullied. DG is an established editor and AfC reviewer and acted as they saw fit in the review. Please take the time to learn about how Wikipedia works especially with regard to COI, and show you've understood and it's very possible someone will respond positively to your next unblock request if you indicate a willing to edit collaboratively. Star Mississippi 02:35, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You @Star Mississippi have not replied to your direct statement, trying to dictate what I can and cannot edit on Wikipedia. This was a statement that came across as bullying me. Maybe you thought I was referring to somebody else. Hatwaring (talk) 23:35, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You haven't proposed an actual new username here(just "new username"); if you used GlobalRenameRequest, it will need to be processed first. 331dot (talk) 19:07, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm surprised that in 2024 there are still public relations people who think they they should editing an encyclopedia on behalf of their clients. Just Step Sideways from this world ..... today 21:39, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Just Step Sideways

You are mistaken. I am not a public relations person. I am in the medical/health profession. Your accusations are incorrect. What justifies your attack on me? Who gave you permission to bully me? Hatwaring (talk) 00:23, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have a new username @hatwaring Hatwaring (talk) 00:21, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
username change was processed through global rename request and completed. The first username was from 2007 and does not reflect who I am or what I do. Sorry for any confusion. I was unaware it was a problem until today. Hatwaring (talk) 00:28, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I’m directing my request as part of a community discussion instead of the administrator who blocked me @rosguill who may be unable to remain neutral. I’m appealing on the grounds of good faith, and being given a chance to prove my abilities to contribute to Wikipedia as an editor. To introduce the community to myself, I’ve been an editor since 2007 and have never knowingly broken any rules or caused disruptions until may 2024, when I was blocked. Once I discovered the issue, I made corrections, and now request a different administrator to please unblock me. Hatwaring (talk) 23:58, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Your editing history suggests that you are not being honest. Of course, I can't be certain, but to me it is not plausible that you would have edited only about a single individual over a period of more than a decade, unless you were being paid to do so. Even if this were not the case, your comments here are not collegial and lead me to believe that you are not capable of editing collaboratively at this time. I am revoking your talk page access. In the future, any unblock requests will need to be made through UTRS. If you choose to submit an unblock request through that page, I suggest that you wait at least a few weeks and then focus on describing how you plan to edit going forward without discussing the conduct of other editors. Jake Wartenberg (talk) 19:42, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

So you are saying that you are no longer affiliated with Tencer PR? Because you were previously, I gather- and as such you no longer have clients? 331dot (talk) 09:17, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Noting for the record that I received an email inquiry from Hatwaring beseeching me to reconsider the block. Given the track record of belligerence, aspersions, wikilawyering, and rather obvious UPE, I see little reason to trust this account. signed, Rosguill talk 13:29, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Dear @Rosguill, Thank you for your response to my email asking you to unblock me. It was important to go directly to the administrator who issued the block and try and resolve the issue, explaining the steps I took to take blame for my error and giving you the steps I am taking to resolve and make sure I edit at the highest standards in the future. You now leave me no choice but to seek the Wikipedia community’s help. As expected, it appears you can’t be neutral. Hatwaring (talk) 06:34, 19 May 2024 (UTC)*:Dear @331dot, I noticed you keep making accusations and implying my profession is that of public relations. I am sad to inform your misconceptions and character assassination, but I am not in that field. Maybe in 2006 I had aspirations of such, when I had a family emergency I sought the help of a family member who is in public relations. I am in the medical / health profession and licensed by the state boards of where I practice since 1990. Your speed in judgement is astoundingly incorrect. Please refrain from future defamation of character, when you consistently write without verification or confirmation of facts. Hatwaring (talk) 20:16, 19 May 2024 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hatwaring (talkcontribs) [reply]
No one is defaming anyone, no one is judging you. I asked a question. "Character assassination" is a bit of an extreme comment. I imply nothing, my question is based on the fact that your username was initially Tencerpr. So is your answer a "no, I'm no longer affiliated with Tencerpr"? No one is going to want to help you if you jump down the throat of anyone asking a question to determine what they should think about this matter. Please just directly answer questions without wikilawyering them. 331dot (talk) 06:55, 19 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Your response was much harsher and did not come across as a question, rather an accusation without merit. Hatwaring (talk) 07:20, 19 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@331dot, You write: “a bit of an extreme”, when blocking someone from editing is the most extreme move possible. Why do you team up and justify bullying efforts against me? Hatwaring (talk) 07:32, 19 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You are very, very close to losing talk page access unless you change course now and stop lobbing accusations against members of the very community you are asking to support unblocking you. 331dot (talk) 07:46, 19 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you @331dot for being level headed in this discussion. I’ve been on the defensive ever since I was attacked for editing and then blocked and then the same parties asked to block me from this discussion page. It’s easy to see why I’ve felt bullied and on the defensive. Hatwaring (talk) 07:53, 19 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No, it's not. Please do not mistake my demeanor for disagreement with others. You have been evasive and are burying others in accusations and wikilawyering. I concur that you're close to losing access to this page unless something dramatically changes here. You need to directly answer questions, stop making accusations, and specifically speak to your actions.
I received your email, I don't discuss wiki matters via email unless very sensitive personal information is involved. 331dot (talk) 10:14, 19 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
