Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Harry Best
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Harry Best, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. [edit]Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Cambridge. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Wham2001 (talk) 19:59, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Cambridgeshire, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. --David Tornheim (talk) 20:14, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
- Please note that despite these warnings, it does appear to me that you are trying to make productive edits as you did by adding images to Central Park (TV series) and Home Before Dark (TV series). Thank you. I am concerned about copyrights on those images. You posted them as your own work. Are you the artist? I did a search on Harry Best and nothing came up. --David Tornheim (talk) 20:26, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
- Indeed there appears to have been a copyright problem. See discussion here: Wikipedia:Teahouse#Image_copyright_violation (permalink). I will give you more formal notice on that issue. --David Tornheim (talk) 00:06, 22 March 2020 (UTC)

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Oxford, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Please do not add your own personal comments to the encyclopedia. Thank you. Hello, I'm David Tornheim. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. The image Central Park (TV series) that you uploaded appears to be copyrighted content borrowed from another website. If you are the copyright holder and would like to use this image on Wikipedia, please follow the instructions given at WP:DONATEIMAGE. This will start the process to get an OTRS ticket in place on the item proving that Wikipedia has permission to use it. The image should be uploaded to Commons, not directly to Wikipedia, so you will need to open a user account on that wiki as well. This may sound complex, but hopefully if you take it step by step it will go smoothly. If you have any questions, you can leave a message on my talk page. Thanks!. --David Tornheim (talk) 00:11, 22 March 2020 (UTC) Same issue with Home Before Dark (TV series). --David Tornheim (talk) 00:12, 22 March 2020 (UTC)

The page User:Harry best133 has been deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. As the page met any of these strictly-defined criteria, it was deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been deleted are:
- It seemed to be unambiguous advertising which only promoted a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to have been fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appeared to be an unambiguous copyright infringement of https://www.pizzapilgrims.co.uk/. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition has been deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
- It appeared to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free Web hosting service. (See section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion.)
Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion Review Cabayi (talk) 12:42, 22 March 2020 (UTC)
