- Yes, it is good that Ford had a 1-2-3 finish; and Lowndes is also my favourite driver. I always thought that you were a Holden man :) BTW check out my talk page, it seems that there is a problem with the Aurion article. HarrisonB Speak! 10:51, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
Issues with the Toyota Aurion article
I have started to run into some issues with the Toyota Aurion article. It is only now that I have realised how globalised this car is, and the article will probably need a second overhaul. The development history only really mentions the Aurion's place in Australia. The same car is manufactured and sold in several Asian countries and they receive no mention. From what I can gather, the Asian Camry and the Aurion only differ in the design of the grille, the taillight lenses and the powertrains. I think referencing the Aurion's position in these countries would be difficult, because of unfortunate language barriers. If only I had kept the news article I read last year in Thailand about the car (a purchasable version can be found here). OSX (talk • contributions) 09:27, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
- Well then, what can we do about it? HarrisonB Speak! 11:09, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, I don't think anything can be done about it. Take two global cars, the Toyota Corolla and the Toyota Camry (US version). Even on the wikipedia page for these cars, it isn't covered for most countries. Unless someone from the countries the Aurion is predominantly also sold in, such as Thailand, Malaysia and south-east Asia in general, can come, I don't think we will be able to put so much 'localised' information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alphabeta777 (talk • contribs) 12:05, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
- I guess that we will have to dig up any information we can find. In the specification levels sections for example we would have to state the model name that each variant is sold as overseas. In New Zealand for example, only four models are offered: the AT-X, Sportivo SX6, Touring (Prodigy) and Grande (Presara). In Malaysia three models are offered: the 2.0E (2.0 L Presara), 2.0G (2.0 L Prodigy) and 2.4V (2.4 L Presara). OSX (talk • contributions) 23:07, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
- Well, for at least the time being we can put this template on the article. HarrisonB Speak! 03:27, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
(indent reset) May take timeSenatorsTalk | Contribs 05:32, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
- Then after we're done with Malaysia and New Zealand, there's all those other countries, like Thailand, UAE, etc. etc. I don't see how we're going to fit every country that has the 'Toyota Aurion' Camry in. Not only will it be extremely time consuming and hard, it'll make the article excessively long by the time we're done. Alphabeta777 08:12, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
- Wait a minute; why does it need a second overhaul? What we have is fine, we just need to put a mention where the Aurion goes in like a "Exports to other Countries" section and then we can let it be - cant we? HarrisonB Speak! 08:21, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
- That's what I think.^ The Commodore is sold in places in the Middle East, and there's no info on them apart from the fact that they are sold in the Middle East. I'm sure, like the Aurion, they have been in some way adapted to the market there, such as by different models and features. Likewise, with quite possibly the two biggest 'global' vehicles, the Toyota Camry and the Toyota Corolla, they don't have info on every market the vehicle is in. It'll take forever and be virtually impossible. Alphabeta777 13:17, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
- Theres no need for an "Exports to other Countries" section, because we already have a market section. As for the Commodore article not mentioning the features for the Middle Eastern versions, it does. Except it has it's own dedicated article Chevrolet Lumina (Australia). OSX (talk • contributions) 02:25, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
- Ok then, this means that we have wasted our time. I think the article is satisfactory for GA now even. HarrisonB Speak! 09:26, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

Toyota Aurion/"Asian Camry"
Hi Harrison, there is a discussion going on between User:PrinceGloria and myself on on my talk page. I would appreciate it if you would input your opinion towards the matter so we can resolve it. OSX (talk • contributions) 10:06, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

I spraned my ankle on Wednesday and I had alot of spare time on my hands, so I just revamped it and got rid of the un-necesary parts. HarrisonB - Conributions 03:45, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
