Hi. When you recently edited Fountains Abbey, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages St Bernard and William FitzHerbert (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Fountains Abbey

Just spotted that you had made a start on this. I did some initial tweaks last week. I was wondering about the 2 miles quoted in the opening as to exactly what is meant is it the Abbey from Ripon or the village? The book I got, the one I put in the bibliography, indicates 4 miles from Abbey to Ripon. Keith D (talk) 21:53, 5 February 2012 (UTC)

There appears to be a problem with abbot table. 1284 - 1289 appears to be missing or is the Henry Otley entry wrong? Keith D (talk) 01:05, 7 February 2012 (UTC)
Hi, couldn't resist a bit of copyediting, it's too miserable here to do much else. How did you know I had a walk round one cold day in December? Hope you don't mind my interfering. By the way I took some pics. J3Mrs (talk) 14:21, 7 February 2012 (UTC)
Hi, it's really miserable here too, about four inches of soggy snow on the ground and freezing fog. Please, do join in again. I was just having a look at the related articles about the Fountains etc. World Heritage Site. Studley Royal Park, Fountains Hall et al. I think they need an umbrella article with the Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal World Heritage Site title, then tidy up the articles about the main features and link them in. It's all a bit messy on Wikipedia. I was looking at the management plan pdf 'till I got to the bit with all the targets and reviews. That turned me off completely. Too much like the world I left behind!!. Pictures would be useful - I looked on Wikimedia Commons but they were all a bit too erm... general.--Harkey (talk) 15:40, 7 February 2012 (UTC)
