Scouting DYK

[edit]

Did you mean the USA/BSA when you submitted the King of Sweden as visiting a national jamboree? Rlevse 12:52, 2 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • You mean Scout 2001 in Sweden? I went to that one :D. I checked World_Scout_Jamboree, it says the Rinkaby jamboree in Sweden is to be held in 2011, I'm pretty sure the 2001 one was a jamboree, I may be mistaken, though, it was a while since I was a scout. Also, thanks for the FE day congratulations :) Obli (Talk) 16:40, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • Now that you say it, it's pretty obvious that he's visited more Jamborees than one.
Also, You wouldn't happen to know any official sources that could confirm that the 2001 Jamboree was held in Rinkaby, Sweden, would you (World_Scout_Jamboree says it's not)? I'm pretty damn sure it was a jamboree (26,000 participants), but I can't find any sources confirming it. Obli (Talk) 17:28, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Item added to desk

Hey Pureblade. I've added Marine Park Race Attack to your clean-up taskforce desk, as you are marked that you'll accept anything. ComputerJoe 21:06, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikibooks

[edit]

Have you considered voting for UK Constitution and Government again this month, as it has been renominated for book of the month. It really is a very good book.Dolive21 16:07, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reform

[edit]

Wikipedia began as an open effort to create an encyclopedia of the people, by the people, for the people. Sadly, its bureaucracy has put an end to those goals. To this end, we must promote a peaceful revolution to reform it. We must eliminate the undue influence of certain people and remake Wikipedia as a people's encyclopedia. We, the reformers, are led by TJWhite who endured only briefly before suffering an indefinite block. Visit his user page to see our ideology, roughly outlined. I for one do not condone his call to vandalism. Instead, by using the power of the people, we can reform wikipedia. Join us to recreate an encyclopedia where all are equal; an encyclopedia that does not strive to become Brittannica, but rather seeks to be a one of kind encyclopedia for all of the people of the world. Please pass this message in some form to as many people as you can. Secondly, petition for the unblock of TJWhite, the one who began our glorious movement. Finally, link to his page from your user page and express your sentiments for reform on your page. Thank You, fellow wikipedians. LaRevolution 15:31, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Community Justice

[edit]

Dear members of Community Justice,

This message is just a simple newsletter, telling you of some recent progress.

Community Justice didn't get as many members as we initially hoped, however we currently have 11, including a few sysops.

The temporary council is now fully set-up, and it will remain in it's current form unless someone contacts me (or uses the talk page) to say that they wish to join the council, or to hold a higher post. In this case, an election will be organised.

We have created two warning tags: {{civil1}} and {{civil2}}. These aren't been widely used, so I ask you to use them when you see fit.

Finally, thanks! Computerjoe 19:24, 25 February 2006 (UTC) (delivered in AWB).[reply]

Reverting vandalism

[edit]

When you reverted the section blanking at Tank, you reverted only the most recent of four vandalism edits, leaving several sections still blanked. When you revert vandalism, it's usually a good idea to check the history to make sure you've removed it all. Thanks. --Carnildo 03:45, 4 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
