Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Hardsing, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Red Chillies Entertainment, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, visit the Teahouse, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! :Jay8g [VTE] 00:21, 5 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Ravensfire. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Ravensfire (talk) 04:09, 5 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Shah Rukh Khan. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. --Hammersoft (talk) 15:35, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Red Chillies Entertainment. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Your edit has been challenged and reverted. At this point, you MUST use the article talk page to discuss the edits and work towards a consensus on the material. Follow WP:BRD - pushing this as you are is not acceptable on Wikipedia. I've started a discussion at Talk:Red_Chillies_Entertainment#August_2024_edits for these edits with some details on the problematic sources being used and what's needed. Please participate in the discussion and use it to work towards a consensus on possible edits before making them to the article. Ravensfire (talk) 15:59, 5 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Shah Rukh Khan, you may be blocked from editing. You are adding material to the article without a source and there's nothing in the article body to demonstrate this is notable. Both of these elements are required. Ravensfire (talk) 15:06, 5 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. See Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources for more information. Seriously, any further edits and I will ask at WP:AIV you be blocked for continued copyright violations. Don't keep pushing this. Use the article talk page. PLEASE DON'T IGNORE THESE WARNINGS - these warning messages are important and ignoring them will lead to you being blocked from editing. Ravensfire (talk) 16:53, 5 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

I've asked for your edits on Red Chillies Entertainment from today be removed from the edit-history as copyright violations since you copied and pasted the text from their website. That's not acceptable on Wikipedia. Everything you add must be a summary in your own words of what the source says, and only based on what the source says. Copyright is taken very seriously on Wikipedia, please respect that and rewrite completely using your own words. Close-paraphrasing - changing a few words, reordering text, and similar superficial text modification is still a copyright violation, the text you add must be completely your own creation. Thank you.
