Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Jammu and Kashmir. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.
If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose editing privileges. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a loss of editing privileges. Thank you. IgnorantArmies (talk) 15:05, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
Your recent editing history at Jammu and Kashmir shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion
[edit]Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. The thread is Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:Ranjan_s_nayak reported by User:Thomas.W (Result: ). Thank you. Thomas.W talk 15:32, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
- Ranjan Nayak, you have exceeded the maximum reverts permitted per day, and you are likely to get a block as a result. You need to go to the discussion page mentioned above, apologize for your mistake, and agree not to edit-war again. Please do this urgently.
- When I reverted your edit this morning, I advised you to discuss your issues on the talk page of the article. You do not seem to have followed this advice.
- In general, you should not delete any sourced material without discussion. You should not add any unsourced material. And, when you want to contest the appropriateness of any sourced content, you should discuss it in advance on the article's talk page. Please follow these tips from now on. All the best! - Kautilya3 (talk) 18:16, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Ranjan, you are likely to get blocked, but its ok, block for new editor who edits India-Pakistan related topic is not a strange thing, it is routine. You should not get discouraged by this routine block and you are suppose to learn from block. Do not remove things from article that you don't like, you can discuss those issues at article's talk page. While editing Wikipedia we need to be neutral. Wikipedia can't be Pro-India or Pro-Pakistan. If you have any questions then you can ask it at Wikipedia:Teahouse/Questions. Just to explain about edit warring rule, you can't revert other editors more than 3 times within 24 hours, if you do so then you will get blocked, it doesn't matters if your edits were "true", "neutral" or whatever, you are not suppose to do more than 3 reverts in any case. Still it doesn't mean that you should do 3 reverts, better you follow WP:BRD and discuss things on talk page on first revert itself. --Human3015TALK 18:55, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
- Hello Ranjan s nayak. I moved your post to Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:Ranjan s nayak reported by User:Thomas.W (Result: ) which is where I think you wanted to respond. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 18:57, 17 November 2015 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:Jammu and Kashmir, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Kautilya3 (talk) 12:18, 18 November 2015 (UTC)
- Also, you should not write excessively long posts. Nobody will read them, and you would have wasted your time. A typical post is 4-5 lines long. If you need to discuss a lot of matters, you can use bullet points, like I did. Please make sure to preview your posts and proof read them before you save! If they are badly written or hard to understand, you would have again wasted your time. - Kautilya3 (talk) 12:32, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

Edit warring at Jammu and Kashmir
[edit]Per a complaint at WP:AN3 (permalink) both you and User:IgnorantArmies are warned for edit warring. Any further revert by you that is not backed up by a previous consensus on the talk page may lead to a block, without additional notice. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 15:19, 18 November 2015 (UTC)
Jammu and Kashmir is covered by discretionary sanctions under WP:ARBIPA
[edit]Please carefully read this information:

Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.EdJohnston (talk) 15:26, 18 November 2015 (UTC)
Calm down
[edit]Hi, I am glad you are reviewing the article and raising issues. But please don't shout. Bold face, capitalized text, big font etc. are discouraged. - Kautilya3 (talk) 20:14, 19 November 2015 (UTC)

Your recent edits
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 07:42, 18 April 2017 (UTC)
