Page moves
[edit]Please stop moving stuff around if you don't know what you are doing. You moved something that was definitely not ready , and then immediately moved it into a non-existent user's talkpspace. I've moved it here User:HappyTaffy34/Carrie the Buzzy Bee rather than letting it be speedily deleted. Meters (talk) 23:02, 23 June 2017 (UTC)
- And don't redirect your talkpage. You've left a mess of redirects that have to be cleaned up. Meters (talk) 23:04, 23 June 2017 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Lola the Buzzy Bee
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Lola the Buzzy Bee, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. GILO A&E⇑ 03:34, 25 June 2017 (UTC)
- Please see the inclusion (notability) guidelines for books; coverage in reliable third-party sources is the primary criterion. It appears that this is a book that either you or your friend or family member is writing; in any case it hasn't attracted any third party attention. (Note: Lulu is a print on demand publisher which accepts pretty much anything.) By the way, is the name of the book Lola the Buzzy Bee, or Carrie the Buzzy Bee? (Not that it matters, because there are no Google hits for either title.) - Mike Rosoft (talk) 04:22, 25 June 2017 (UTC)
- I have also deleted Category:Insects in literature as a duplicate of Category:Fictional insects. (Also, note that spiders are not insects.) - Mike Rosoft (talk) 08:49, 25 June 2017 (UTC)
I have nominated your article for deletion for the second time; see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lola the Buzzy Bee. And once again, publishing the book at Solentro contributes nothing to its notability; Solentro is a "make your own book" service and not an actual publisher. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 05:26, 28 June 2017 (UTC)
- The bottom line is: Wikipedia is not a personal website. Okay, you (or your family member or friend) are writing a book at a very young page; good for you. But that doesn't mean that you get to create an article on Wikipedia about it. Wikipedia has its inclusion criteria, which your book doesn't meet. As I have said, the primary criterion is coverage in reliable third-party sources. (This goes together with the policy of verifiability.) - Mike Rosoft (talk) 05:34, 28 June 2017 (UTC)
