I wrote an example about what interests me on the internet and why I found it cool four times, and my intricate post was deleted. I apologize to Prof. Singh for not being able to complete the project on time for the deadline, but this was just not possible. The Tea-House and discussions with seasoned users proved to be counter-productive even though I fully tried to explain to them what I was doing. Looking at the Talk Page Guidelines that were sent to me, I do understand that my talk page really isn't a place for discussion or conversation about my personal preferences. I hope you understand that I wished to complete the assignment. I didn't mean to cause any problems or internal situations. Thank you.

I have my discussion with the formatting, thanks to the man who deleted my assignments. If I can still get feedback on it even though it's not posted, I'd be really pleased with that.

I'm sort of done fighting for this. I just want to not fail my future assignments. I'm sorry for all the hassle. I'm not looking to get deleted from the site and I'm not doing this to be a troll. Thanks. Hannahfaire667 (talk) 13:47, 10 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A brief comment

[edit]

You've sort of taken the brunt of all this Hannah, sorry about that. It goes to show that the wiki can be a rather strange place for newbies. Please stick with this. And don't worry too much about this assignment - I'll be tracking back through previous versions in any case. it may well be that we will be transferring everything over to Wikibooks, as that is a more enclosed space, but I'll give plenty of warning on that one, and your marks won't be adversely affected by any of this. @GregXenon01: I'm so sorry for all the hassle that came from this! I got flagged for writing my response and then asked on the Teahouse and the whole thing sort of exploded in my face. Wikipedia is strange - in America, we're always taught to basically disregard it on all assignments (I assume here too), so I've never explored it. Most of my previous versions are deleted with the initial posting, but the man who removed my post did send me the link and I copied it onto a word document to send it to you. I'm glad my marks won't be affected. I hope most of the rest of the class aren't getting deleted as well! Thanks for helping. Hannahfaire667 (talk) 16:34, 10 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@GregXenon01: Thanks a lot for helping.SchrumpflinH (talk) 16:57, 10 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@SchrumpflinH: Thanks! By the way we have decided for the purposes of the exercises to shift to Wikibooks. It's just going to be way easier to manage!GregXenon01 (talk) 19:17, 10 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Hannahfaire667: no worries - please see the announcement on Succeed about this! GregXenon01 (talk) 19:19, 10 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
