Article choice

[edit]

I think that I.T is a good choice for an article. Be sure to watch issues of tone so that the article doesn't end up reading like an advertisement. Also be sure to include sources, including critical sources, that are fully independent of the subject so that you're not just representing the company from its own advertising and PR materials. Let me know if there's more I can do to help. —mako 17:55, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you have switched your choice to Skims for your assignment. My strong sense is that that article is really just too developed. It has quite a lot of text and a huge number of references. In fact, the article is listed as C-class (several classes higher than a stub) and it was created during a previous version of this very class in 2022!
My sense is that finding new articles and raising it a whole quality class, given where it is, is just going to be extremely difficult. My suggestion would be to find an article that is a (true) stub—think a paragraph or two (max) with a few references (max). I think you'll be setting yourself for a much easier time with the assignment if you do this. —mako 05:44, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
