Information icon Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page 2017 Congressional baseball shooting has an edit summary that appears to be inaccurate or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Feel free to use the sandbox to make test edits. Thank you. Writ Keeper  17:20, 13 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Hallyyearwood! Nobody has said it to you up to now, but welcome to Wikipedia! I'm sorry that so many of your edits have been reverted. It's not just because of the edit summaries; it's because many of your edits did not improve the article. I'd suggest you spend a little time looking around Wikipedia, reading articles, and seeing what kind of language we use (neutral and simple, not melodramatic or flowery) and only making edits that are actually based on the sources. For example, Matt Mika is described as a lobbyist by virtually all the sources so there was no justification for changing that.

We appreciate your wishing to improve Wikipedia and hope that we will soon be welcoming your contributions instead of reverting them. If you have questions or comments, you can put them here; I will see them. --MelanieN (talk) 18:56, 13 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
