Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.

June 2011

[edit]
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for violating Wikipedia's policy against personal attacks.. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. I have extended this block to indefinite, due to the policy on making legal threats (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 12:19, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please unblock me.

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Because I'm a good boy. HRH2 (talk) 05:51, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

After about two and a half years, I am more than willing to consider giving you another chance. However, there are a few issues which hold me back from doing so immediately. I will tell you what those issues are, and I hope that you will then make a new unblock request that clears those issues up.

(1) It is difficult to see the reason given in this unblock request as anything other than a facetious indication that you do not intend to take Wikipedia seriously, which is unlikely to encourage any administrator to unblock you. I suggest that any future unblock request avoid giving such an impression. However, I will leave that aside, and take the comments you have made below as your reason for requesting an unblock. Since you say that you have forgotten the reasons for your block, let me remind you. (2) Here is a personal attack. I suggest that you indicate that you will not do anything similar again. (3) Your block was extended from its original duration of 1 week because of what the blocking administrator regarded as a "legal threat". I can only assume that referred to this. I suggest that you indicate that you withdraw any intention of trying to force a change that you want, whether by legal or other means. (4) I have never yet seen an unblock request succeed while the blocked editor is threatening to evade the block by creating another account. Being blocked means that you are not permitted to edit Wikipedia, not that you are perfectly welcome to edit Wikipedia as long as you do it from another account. I suggest that you indicate that you will not try to evade any block.

Provided that you address those points, I personally see no reason why another unblock request should not succeed. (Of course it will be a matter for the judgement of whatever administrator assesses the request, so I am in no position to make any promises, but that is my assessment.) If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Can some administrator please unblock me? I was a blocked a few years ago and I don't even remember the reason. I would like to keep this account rather than making a new one (which I could easily do). I cannot contact other admins so hope someone reads it here.
